Booked a ticket with them which was cancelled by the airlines. They denied a refund straightaway. Then we asked for a date change. Rebooking with their customer care staff is a nightmare. They will drive you crazy. You get a different agent each time and half way through they will cut the call and then you have to start from square one. They are really unscrupulous. They are training these call centre agents to cut the calls on purpose so that you quit chasing them and give up on the money. Thats what they want. They took your money and they dont want to help or provide the service. We asked if they could change our sector they said no and that we have to travel the same sector. The funny thing is that they are not operating flight to our sector anymore and they said nothing can be done. So in short no refund and no rebooking to a different date. Beware of these fraudsters!!!!

Absolutely disgraceful 'customer…
07/03/2022 Update: No I did not hear from customer service at all and did not get a flight voucher, so I cancelled the booking on 28 February and booked the flights with Qantas. Now a week and a half later, no refund, not even an email acknowledging the cancellation!! So more of my time to be wasted continuing to follow this up. This is a TERRIBLE airline to deal with, absolutely TERRIBLE. Do not go anywhere near them.
23/02/2022 Update: Malaysia Airlines - where is my flight credit voucher for the itinerary that YOU cancelled?
If it had been ME who changed my booking, then sure, I would have accepted your ‘rebooking option’, but this is NOT what happened, I did NOT change my flights, I did not seek to ‘optionally rebook’ them, this was imposed upon me when you completely CANCELLED one of them. YOUR rebooking of the itinerary doesn’t even depart Sydney until several hours AFTER my original arrival time in Singapore and is completely unacceptable as I have explained at some length. Your ‘customer experience’ department has been shameful to your company – 12 days with no response 4 to 16 February, 16 February another email about your ‘rebooking option’, and obviously again rejected as inappropriate to the circumstances, and now another 7 days of absolutely nothing. This is a $4000 Business Flex ticket, and the ‘customer experience’ to date has been a disgrace. An ‘experience’ though certainly.
The SYD-KUL sector of my SYD-KUL-SIN itinerary is clearly now a MEL-KUL sector [as per the actual ticket that I can buy on the MH website, it departs Melbourne and arrives in KL at the same time as my original Sydney flight did and has the same connecting flight KUL-SIN] As I have said, at my own expense I am prepared to get myself from Sydney to Melbourne for this flight and I would like to be rebooked to this flight. Apparently this can’t be done with the ‘rebooking option’. Again, I remind you that it was not MY ‘option’ to change my flights, YOU cancelled my flight, I did not voluntarily seek to change anything.
So while this is extremely poor, what elevates this to a nightmarishly stressful farce is 1/the ongoing absence of even the most basic, BASIC, level of customer service and 2/ the ongoing absence of an actual flight credit voucher for my $4000 Business Flex ticket [not even a refund, I have at no stage requested an actual refund!], so I can use that voucher to book the MEL-KUL-SIN ticket myself. Plus pay extra on top of this voucher for the fare, which is now a further $400 [plus obviously pay the cost of getting myself from Sydney to Melbourne]. Where. Is. My. Flight. Credit. Voucher.
***17/02/22 Update: half-hearted response now from Facebook response team and also after 12 days of silence, from 'customer experience' to my numerous unresponded to emails. STILL no voucher to actually rebook the flights however. ***16/02/22 Absolutely disgraceful 'customer service'. MH changed my flight dates to unsuitable and after one response from their 'customer experience' section on 4 February that completely ignored my request for alternative flights to be booked, have now blanked me. 12 days later and several more emails from me to 'customer experience' and still waiting for ANY response. Wow, that is WOEFUL. And I have paid good money for MH's business class product. If this 'customer experience' is a taste of that, then yikes, I shudder to think what the flights themselves will be like. Just appalling. Clearly I should have taken heed of my colleagues warning me to steer clear of MH. Malaysia Airlines, either change my flights to those that I have requested, or immediately issue me a voucher so that I can do your job for you and book them myself. This is completely unacceptable. Everyone else - this is NOT a business class product worth risking obviously. Go back to your real airlines with appropriately genuine customer service, as I will be doing as soon as this ill-advised debacle is over.

I am planning to fly to KUL from BKK…
I am planning to fly to KUL from BKK next month and at the same time have my pet beagle with me on the same flight. What really surprised me was when I call the local office here In Bangkok to e quite about this arrangement, I was told that I had to contact the MAS cargo office in KUL directly. Seriously???

I had a horrible experience with…
I had a horrible experience with unreliability of Malaysia Airlines flight schedule and their irresponsibility when I booked the tickets on Colombo-Phuket flight (via Kuala-Lumpur) with them in the middle of January 2022. First, I have booked the flight on February 12, 2022 but on January 26 I received a notification that my flight was cancelled "due to recent developments/movement control restrictions enacted to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic" (this is funny as both Malaysia and Thailand actually relaxed their COVID-related regulations at that time"). No channel of contact was offered, and I had to find out myself that the only way to contact the airline regarding the issue is the phone hotline in Malaysia - very convenient, considering the 5-minute robotic prompts of "press one" type and the charges for international calls. After that I was assured that the flight could be rescheduled to February 19, 2022, so I went with that - only to receive another notification on February 3, 2022 that this flight is cancelled due to the same reasons. The funniest part was the staff on the hotline ensuring me that the flights were cancelled due to concerns about passangers' safety amidst COVID pandemic (and not with their inability to pack the flight to the full as you would have thought) - well, hard to argue with that, you couldn't catch COVID on your flight if you don't fly. I had to book another flight to another destination in Thailand with another airline at a much higher price, which could have been much lower if I booked it in advance in the first place.

Malaysian airlines rescheduled my flight
Malaysian airlines reschedule me and my girlfriends original flight the day of departure from Bangkok Airport to Sri Lanka Colombo airport the 14th december 2021 because of delay of aircraft.
So Wednesday the 15 December I got rescheduled to Thursday the 16 December because of flight delay. The Malaysian airlines personnel at the desk at check-in in BKk airport say it’s best if I take the flight Wednesday and have a layover in Kuala Lumpur Airport before going to my end destination in Colombo Sri Lankan airport Thursday night. I ask the desk personnel in the airport why not take the Friday the 17 December that go direct with 1 stop?
They tell me they might not even fly Friday from Bangkok airport without giving me more details why that might be.
I accept going Wednesday evening without any furthermore details than the departure from Bangkok airport. Since I trust the airlines have our best interests in mind.
Malaysian airlines book our tickets Tuesday at the airport in Bangkok and accommodate us at a hotel for the inconvenience in Bangkok.
When I go to check in Bangkok airport the next day they forgot to inform me in the booking about that there would be a whole night of layover in Kuala Lumpur. More than 24 hours before going to Colombo Airport.
I ask them about accommodation since it’s 24 hours before next flight and I am going to be trapped in transit!!
The personel in BKK tells me I can just go to the hotel when i land in Malaysia and their personel will assist me.
Before even going into security at BKK airport Wednesday the personnel wants to see my documents several times and ask a lot of questions. I just had to check in my luggage because I was already checked in the day prior. I already showed all the documents the day before. It was like they didn’t believe it was me.
Our PCR test was going to expire right after departure in BKK airport the 15 December like 2 hours after departure In BKK. I told the personnel that the day before. They said it was not a problem and I didn’t need a new one as long as it was before departure and then I could fly BKK-KUL with a valid PCR test. And from KUL-CMB I could fly because it was valid from BKK but in reality it was NOT VALID ANYMORE!
I made several phone calls to Malaysian Airlines and they told me one story after another one promising me I didn’t need a new PCR to proceed from KUL-CMB. But I did not believe this absurd thing they told me. I even write them an email to explain it again. But I got the same answer.
Me and my girlfriend took a new test the 15 December to be sure because Malaysian airlines was not trustworthy. And guess who was denied to travel on the words of Malaysian Airlines from KUL-CMB, yes me! Until I showed the PCR test I paid for before departure in BKK.
When I arrive in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday evening there is no one to help with accommodation. Everything is booked. No shops are open. After going around in the airport for 1,5 hour I find the manager from Malaysian airlines who laughs at me when I say I have to stay in the airport for 24 hours and tells me he cannot help me with anything except looking annoyed at my request.
In 24 hours me and my girlfriend was trapped and abandoned in airport transit at Kuala Lumpur with no open restaurants or shops. No water, no food, nowhere to sleep.
The Manager tells us: “sorry it’s just the way it is. Then he continues - you insisted to take this airplane that’s what the personnel in Bangkok wrote about you in our information so I am not obliged to help you”
After going back and forth from The hotel and the manager for 13 hours from arrival in KUL. With no sleep/food or water. The manager finally gives over and accomodate us and gives us vouchers for 20 Malaysian Ringgit worth of food which is 4,2 euros per voucher!!! This voucher is only to buy food and all the shops were closed in the airport.
Us waiting that long to sleep and eat is not worthy for any human beings! It shouldn’t even be something to discuss about. It’s a human right to sleep and eat/drink.
Now as a goodwill they want to compensate me with 66MYR (15 USD)for meals there was not avaible at the airport. And for 2 PCR test we payed ourselves MYR502.88 (120USD) with had to paid EXTRA ourselves because The Airlines was delayed. And some flight points i will never use because i will warn everyone against this horrible company!!!
So much for non existing customer service to: Nur Raihan Maarof from Malaysian Airlines customer service.
They treat homeless dogs better in my country than Malaysian airlines threat their customers!!

Attantion, everyone! Beware!
A scam! Pity, used to like this airlines, now the worst airlines ever. They advertised the date as available when you bought the ticket, then they changed the flight time to accommodate their business need. My flights (2 different bookings had their time changed which ruined all my scheduled plans. They don't care if you are losing on your side, they will tell as part of T&C your flight cannot be cancelled as I bought economy class that has no cancel/refund offering. MAS, am I the one who changed my initial travel time? No, it was you.
They then offered me an open ticket..hellooo..what made you think I want to fly from A to B in a future? I ended up buying AirAsia ticket as I needed to travel on that specific time. MAS, you should at least let people cancel the flight they couldn't make because you were the one who changed the flight time, then refund these poor people. What I pity, now I had to give you a lowest rate even though you used to be my favourite.

Money Grab
I booked and paid 4 Sydney-Manila return tickets on a Monday night 7pm. In less than 24 hours Tuesday at 130pm they sent an email cancelling our tickets. As my charge with AMEX was still pending, AMEX said they would flag the transaction and would be able to prevent the charge from completing. I called back MAS to ask why they cancelled and found out that their KUL-MNL leg were suspended for 2 weeks because of "operational issues". They offered to fly us later but I said no. I was still confident AMEX would not pay upon my instructions. The next day, Wednesday, the charge on my card went through. AMEX allowed MAS to grab my $8000 as payment on our already cancelled flight. AMEX could not help me and was short of telling me that their phone rep was wrong as pending transactions could not be stop. My previous experience was that the supplier could stop the transaction and in this case MAS but MAS still went ahead grabbing my money on a service they knew they could not provide. This charge put a strain on my credit limit which is now $8000 less until MAS refunds the charge. I did not bother calling up MAS but because I paid extra on our tickets to get a full refund, I went on the net and did the cancelling/refund option myself as it is useless to talk to them. In fairness, I did get my refund back 3 days later but it was $80 less as the credit card fee they charged was never return. Yes that was another money grab tactic of theirs. When I paid for the tickets, it was stated that they would still add the credit card charge on the total. I proceeded to the next page thinking they would show this hidden amount before taking payment. Instead, the payment went through straight away with an extra $80 on top. This was the first time I paid something on the net without the additional credit charge payment shown before taking payment. A national airline? A national money grabber!!! It is a shame that I have been flying with them so many times for 10 years now...

Horrible
Horrible. Every single time I call customer service they leave you on hold for half an hour at least. I’ve got covid and I have to cancel tomorrow’s flight, they just hung up on me 4 times, after a 20 mins wait each time. It can’t get any worse than this. If you’re reading this, trust me, for the love of god don’t fly with MAS
