Tried to cancel; nothing heard
I ordered 3 sets by mistake instead of 1. I emailed them, then sent a message on their website "contact" portal. Nothing heard. I can't find an address of phone number. When I checked through Amex, it appears that the credit card gets charged from Stockholm, Sweden. Their website says orders can be cancelled or changed before shipment. But I think I've lost my money. I did place a dispute through Amex. One month later, Jan 6, I received an email from MagnetChess with a link to a tracker. Says the order (with the wrong order units) had just now been processed by some outfit in China and was waiting to be picked up the carrier for shipment to the US. This was supposed to be a Christmas present! I want my money back.
Response from MagnetChessDec 13, 2025
Hi, We’re really sorry for the frustration this caused. We completely understand how stressful it is to accidentally order more than intended and then not hear back when trying to fix it. We’re a small family business, and after a recent surge in orders, we fell behind on responding as quickly as we normally would. We’ve since made improvements to make sure messages are answered faster and cancellations or changes can be handled more smoothly. The charge showing from Sweden is just our payment processor, but we want to reassure you that your order and payment are completely legitimate. Please reach out to us directly so we can take a look at your order and get this sorted for you. We really care about our customers and want to make sure everyone has a positive experience with us. Thank you for sharing your experience, and again, we’re very sorry for the inconvenience.
