I would like to begin with a quote from Todd Wanek, CEO Ashley Furniture;- "...Made more significant the pandemic-induced strains on global supply chains. Many companies, both within the furniture industry and without, have faced massive order backlogs resulting from delays for everything from delivery of raw materials to challenges in shipping finished goods." So what makes a furniture company thrive and move forward in these rapid changes that are now common amongst them? I can absolutely assure you, customer service alone at Living Spaces will destroy this company in a heartbeat,- making whatever reputation Living Spaces may have had, nothing more than mud. Initially, I was sent an email stating the bed frame I bought was actually delivered. Upon calling the first time I was told that the vendor would email her when they could give her an update. And that she would call me back within 48 hours. 72 hours later I called back. She told me she would speak to someone and put me on hold for about 20 minutes. She finally came back and told me that the bed frame was actually on the backlog and that the vendor would email her when they had an update and upon the arrival of the vendor's email it would take her another 48 hours to email me as to the update. This was ridiculous! I told her it was just not good enough and insisted to speak with a supervisor when she promptly hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another woman, Crystal. She then put me on hold and after another 15 minutes said that the bed frame was on an exceptionally long backlog and when they heard anything they would email me. At that point, my husband spoke with her ending the call with a promise to call him the following day by 4,30pm. He called her back at about 8.30 pm. He asked (Lavenia?) to speak with Crystal. He hardly finished saying her name when (Lavenia?) told him she was not available. He explained to her that she would be expecting his call and she said she was not available. He asked to speak to another supervisor and with a laugh in her voice stated there were no supervisors available. You would have to be an idiot to not think they planned this. I wouldn't be surprised if she had him on speakerphone with the amount of times she threw in that little chuckle. It was so obvious and disgustingly rude with no other offer to help. It's a shame that higher management don't nip this in the bud and fire every customer service rep there before they wipe this company out. Kyle Johansen, HOM Furniture "Delays have resulted in numerous customers who are just sick and tired of waiting" "It's frustrating because we have this great opportunity for more business and the industry is just not able to handle it" Common courtesy, transparency along with an educated, motivated and solid customer service team would have been just as noteworthy as this incompetent and obtuse customer service team you have representing you now, albeit noteworthy attached to positive reviews. Seriously! You just need to Google all the bad ratings you have. Shame on you!
