This is actually used by my Mother-in -Law. The kids got it for because she was prone to falls. She had a phone but having a button to push seemed the smarter way to go. We understood there is a "formula" to the fall notification and understand if the fall does not meet the criteria of the device..(rate of fall,etc..) it may not trigger an auto call for help. Regardless of that.....not being stuck in a contract, only a button to push and our peace of mind is well worth the monthly cost.
