I recently went to LensCrafters for a routine eye exam. The whole experience was shady to say the least. Right after making an appointment, they leave a cryptic message on my phone (at 2pm)that if I do not confirm my appointment that day by 3pm it will be cancelled. I arrive for my appointment and ask for what the upfront costs will be. They apparently could not give me upfront costs. Red flag number 2. I have insurance that offers allowance of 150 towards an exam. I have a stronger prescription, so was expecting to pay more for a contact fitting as usual. Having said that, I have never paid more than 50 dollars for an eye exam. I assumed it couldn’t be much higher than that. It ended up being more than 150 dollars which is absolutely ridiculous for an eye exam. Either you are somehow unaware that you are dramatically overcharging for a service that was subpar at best, or you are misleading the insurance companies by overcharging and reaping the profit. I would advise to stay clear of LensCrafters- They overcharge, and are very aggressive in driving sales.

Two sets of glasses (regular and sunglasses): 2 attempts on the regular glasses. After the 2nd attempt - went to my eye doctor. Too many issues of which I could not see out of either set of glasses (had to blink 15X each time to even get a non-blurry vision, if it hadn't been for my husband, I would have fallen down the stairs). I said I needed time to get used to the glasses. I also needed to see my eye doctor (but only after I had the insurance in place (change of plans). No refund as they wanted me to go back to get the glasses fixed. Why would I go back to the same place if they couldn't do it right after 2X. No refund! Complete waste of money and 2 sets of glasses. I had to pay for 2 more sets of glasses that I can see out of (on top of the 2 wasted pairs).

I have been wearing glasses for 60 years and have been a customer of Lenscrafters for 35 years. The last pair of glasses I purchased on July 14, 2022. On September 13(2 months later), I noticed 2 hairline cracks at the very top edge of the left lens and went to have the lens replaced. I had purchased the insurance and was informed that it would have to be an insurance issue and was charged a $25.00 + tax copay. Now, 1 month later, there are 2 more fractures coming from the nose side edge of the other lens. These fractures are not the result of anything caused by any misuse or mistreatment of the glasses. I have done some research on how these fractures could have occured and am suspicious that either they could have been faulty lenses(I was informed that they no longer carry that lens when I had the 1st one replaced) or it could be a manufacturing defect. When I first got the glasses I noticed that the top edges had relatively sharp edges, never, ever had this happened before. If rubbed the wrong way, I have no doubt I could have cut a finger. The customer service agent did smooth them down. If they charge me another $25.00 to replace this lens, I assure they will lose my patronage, there are too many other places to spend my money.

LensCrafters is an excellent service, the environment was clean, Doctors, employees, are professional, some are friendly some are Not they need more TRAINING on the floor, example: (adjustments on eye glasses either loose, or tight. SO FRUSTRATING

The manger is totally awesome. I said some mean things. Because I was mad. Buy she is very nice.

Every time i have been to LensCrafters, I have had a nice experience (8036 Ritchie Highway Glen Burnie, MD) The person that helped me yesterday was Sarah. i do wish i could remember everyones' names from my visits

I had fun with them. First time I ever been to an eye doctor and actually had fun. Thanks to everyone for the support. Thank you Gwendolyn for helping me. Be blessed

I was at the LensCrafters today at the UTC Mall in San Diego and had the worst customer service experience with the store manager named Crystal. She was extremely rude to me and very dismissive of my concerns. I was not able to see clearly with the new prescription glasses that I had ordered. I still wanted to keep the glasses and just have them correct the prescription! Instead of trying to find a solution, Crystal became angry, loud and confrontational with me. Very unprofessional. I'm very disappointed with customer service I was provided. I requested a refund and ran out of the store. Never again will I ever purchase anything or go into that LensCrafters store.
