LHR to Malta return last week. It was easy from start to finish. No issues whatsoever and all on time. Staff were courteous. I think the return flight was possibly one of their older planes and leg room in economy seemed less than on the outbound plane and I’m not particularly tall. However, for a short haul flight at a good price with checked luggage plus hand luggage (not much extra £ for their Economy Flex ticket) it was manageable. Would happily use them again.

First the check in at Amsterdam, the lady told us there would be problems with taking the 2 year old with us. We had al the necessary documents, our Lawyer assured. The flight wasn't good either, we constantly were feeling what the person behind us was doing. The flight back they overbooked the plane and changed our booking to 2 days later without telling us and expected us to sleep at the airport with a 2 year old.

No issues at all Check in - speedy at both LHR and Valletta Plane- clean, toilets were clean. Seats comfortable. Staff- polite and courteous. Luggage- we had checked bags that were dealt with speedily without and issues. Both flights took off about 15 mins late but made up the time. This was airport reasons NOT KM’s. We would fly within again in preference to Ryanair or EasyJet. As far as we are concerned the previous negative comments are unfounded.

Flown on air malta many times and despite the piolt mistakenly telling us we were on an air Malta fight it was much worse. KM Malta have reduced leg room and there was almost a fight a few rows ahead with someone trying to recline the chair into someone elses knees. Hint to KM Malta, pick reclining chairs or no leg room not both! Talked down to by boarding staff that "this is a budget airline and how can you expect to have carry on luggage included in your ticket" despite clearly showing that we had 10kg of hand luggage included in our email the staff were very rude and without some push back would have charged us to stow the luggage.

Everything went well with no delays, easy boarding and a great crew. Pity you offer snacks only on this flight, I was into a warm meal to buy, but this was not possible. Overall experience this time was good.

Faultless from start to finish. I am a frequent flyer and have experienced all the main carriers. As a short haul flight this was on another level to all others. Smooth and quick check in, brand new plane with comfortable red leather seats, more space than average and the meal service was like you get on a long haul flight, fantastic, high quality steel cutlery and Champagne etc. All staff encountered were exemplary. Arrived in Malta relaxed and 30 minutes ahead of schedule. I was concerned about the neg reviews but from my experience this is 5 stars.

Please read the baggage policy carefully before you fly. This is a combination of KM Malta and Booking.com. Booked flights Heathrow - Malta through booking.com and paid for additional baggage. 1 x 10kg carry on and 1 x 23kg suitcase. When checking in at Heathrow Malta Airlines and old us we had no baggage on our tickets other than a personal item each. Tried to blame this on booking.com. The staff are very rude, I presented all travel documents and proof of purchases and they wouldn’t allow it. The simple reason was because they don’t offer 23kg, it’s 20 or 32. Regardless they wouldn’t take into account of any documents we provided and made us pay and told to take it up with booking.com. The day before departing i checked out booking and it actually said we had a 10kg checked bag each, which I thought great just got to sort the 23kg case. I actually phoned the airline to confirm and check my documents to be told that I had no baggage again! I tried to explain that on the website it’s showing but they wernt having it. Ended up paying for additional baggage over the phone. At check in at Malta airport we were told we had the 10kg as mentioned on website and the additional 10kg bough the day previous. The whole airline and system is a mess. Staff are rude and don’t seem bothered and they I’ll try to blame everything else. They haven’t got a clue what to do! Will never be using again!
