Worst customer support experience I have ever had
This is by far the worst support and service I have ever experienced. I’ve been trying to complete identity verification on Amazon KDP for over two weeks, and the situation has gone nowhere. The system consistently rejects my valid passport with the error: "The ID you submitted is not the type you choose." This is a standard, officially issued passport that clearly falls under the "Passport" category listed in their own accepted documents. During this time, I have received more than 10 responses from support, and none of them resolved anything. Instead, the same pattern repeats: * I keep receiving generic instructions (clear cache, try another device, improve lighting, etc.), even after confirming multiple times that all of this was already done. * My screenshot clearly showing the error was ignored. * Different agents provide contradictory statements — one told me my passport is not accepted for my location, while another confirmed that passports of this type are fully supported. * The case was briefly escalated, then dropped back into the same scripted responses again. There is no real investigation, no ownership of the issue, and no explanation of why a valid document is being rejected. It feels like support does not actually read the case and simply cycles through pre-written replies. You can end up going in circles without any progress or resolution. This creates a serious risk: if you run into a non-standard problem, there is effectively no way to resolve it. That makes the platform unreliable for building a business. If something goes wrong, you may not get real help, and everything you’ve built can be blocked without explanation. After more than two weeks, there is still no resolution.
