I had a really good experience with the treatment itself—it helped so much with my PTSD and chronic pain. But the way the company handles customer care is terrible, and it’s really disappointing. At first, I was offered a reduced rate because of financial hardship, which I really appreciated. But later, they raised the price again, and when I couldn’t pay it as often, I requested a pause, but they later canceled my membership entirely. When I tried to restart, I was told I just needed to book a new appointment—but I couldn’t get anyone to respond to my emails and I can’t even do that through their website, and no one will help me. It feels like they just gave up on me when I couldn’t afford the $130/month. For how expensive this is, there should be a better way to pause and restart a membership. This isn’t like a medication you need to take long term—one month’s supply lasts me a long time, so why should I have to pay $130 every single month unless I actually need a new prescription every month? It also shouldn’t be this hard for returning patients to book or reschedule an appointment. Also why didn't anyone call to follow up after my membership ended? Honestly, it seems like they only care about signing up new people and getting your money. Once you’re already a patient, it’s like they forget about you. It’s such a shame, because the treatment worked, but the way they treat their patients is just awful. They need to do better. People like me rely on this, and it feels like they don’t care at all. Now, I don't know where to go from here.

Although the experience of trying Ketamine has been very helpful for my anxiety and depression, I cannot recommend this company. The customer service is dismal, the company seems like it only has a handful of employees, and I was charged for another month's subscription even after requesting a cancellation. $130 is a lot of money, and I was denied a refund. Trying to cancel my plan is a serious pain, and I had to hound them the second time I tried to cancel because there was no response the first time I attempted to cancel. I've had to dispute this payment with my credit card company because the "team" refuses to reimburse me for something I did not consent to purchasing. I cannot imagine offering a service as life-changing as this while not having the people-power to back up their claims. This is endemic of the larger issue in American Healthcare, profit over people. Do not use this service. There are others out there that are much better. Unfortunately those services are much more expensive, but perhaps it's worth it to get the customer service and help you need when dealing with something as powerful as Ketamine.

Took a month and a half and then was able to quit due to not needing it anymore bc I felt better. I have not had any resurgence of anxiety and ptsd symptoms remain significantly reduced. I am very thankful for this treatment

Thus far, Joyous seems to be a company dedicated to making this option available to everybody. I've struggled with significant anhedonia (which is apparently the cardinal symptom of depression, although I don't suffer with suicidal thoughts or tendencies, it's more like extreme emotional blunting against positive emotions) as well as heavy social anxiety. Joyous approved me for financial assistance, which I'm very thankful for. I'm early into treatment, only a couple of weeks, but I feel an improvement in my symptoms already. For somebody who just wants to get better, without having to choose between feeding themselves or improving their mental health, I think Joyous is probably the best option there is.

The medicine itself has helped me change my thinking and prevented me from spiraling. As the weeks went on, I noticed a cumulative improvement in my mental health. The process of gradually increasing the dose was comfortable. The frequent check ins helped me stay present with myself throughout the process.
