This would be a great unit IF it worked. First, the hose KINKS at the connection to the unit. There is no getting around this and it becomes permanent. For the price of this unit one would think they would fix this. Even garden hoses come with such a device. My son-in-law finally cut a piece of rubber hose and slid it over the end and taped it. Next, the unit shuts off by itself WHILE in use. I am very displeased with this purchase. Their customer service lacks in that once the unit is purchased they basically don't care about any issues.

I TRIED THIS ... does not last for 4 hours. only goes to 3L; I sometimes need 4. We returned it and had to pay $18+ for postage. They do not offer free returns. Disappointed. Medicare small tanks provided free last much longer though heavier. I prefer them.

67 it's one of the best made machines on any companies I've ever seen my friends all have them they're even good to wear if you got allergies it don't hurt to breathe good clean air

I can only concur with the bad comments of other frustrated customers. The salesman that mortified me was abusive and aggressive, he contacted my doctor to obtain a referral by convincing his secretary that I wanted the equipment. He told me that Medicare would not cover the equipment, which is FALSE since the hospital where my husband was sent a concentrator to my home the same day the Inogen arrived. I never open the box, I tried without success to return the equipment The website DOES NOT ACCEPT requests for equipment paid, THE STATED RETURN POLICY IS A LIE. I still have 2 weeks to arrive at the 30 days, where according to stated policy I would get my money less $99, and no one answers the calls. Only once I did get an answer, with the promise to get a phone call with the RMA, and this was ONE WEEK AGO, but no one called. Follow my advice and DO NOT DEAL with these people and spread the work to all our friends and the medical personal you get to know.

I have been on oxygen since June, 2017. My big concentrator has never been a problem. I use it most because I am home most of the time. The company that takes care of my oxygen needs is Lincare. When I ask for a portable such as the Inogen, even though it was approved (80 years old) it seemed like forever before I got it! I did call Medicare and talked to the most hateful woman ever! She told me that the only reason I wanted a portable was for ‘convenience’ and I could not differ with her on that. To make a long story short, I am waiting for my 4th machine (been 2 weeks now). I do have bottles to carry around with me! The ad says go here and go there without a worry, but I would not trust these machines at all! The last two I got were oxygofits and they are exactly like the inogen (my first one). Now one battery comes with it and on level 3 that lasts a little over an hour. I bought 2 large batteries ($500 each) so I would have enough to actually go someplace local! My opinion is your machine is defective but I will keep trying because it is convenient! I do have a larger tank on wheels for back-up!

Don't buy from this greedy company! After my initial call to check on buying an Ingen for my Mother, I received many phone calls from Mike selling his company and product. After much thought we decided to go ahead and buy a Inogen to help my mother since she had to drag the big tank with her wherever she went. All my phone calls were taped, as now I know why. I understood that we had a 30 day trial period and could return the machine with a $99 restocking fee, which I agreed to. My Mother suddenly passed away two days after the 30 day time period. At one time Mike informed me that the company has made exceptions to this return policy on occasion if returned within a few days. I contacted Inogen on the day my Mother died to return the machine. Now they barely returned my calls. After many calls and emails I was told "I’m sorry to inform you I was not able to get an exception on your mothers behalf. Due to the nature of our business/ industry if an exception is made for every patient that passes on we would not be in business very long or much longer. How very cold - I sent an email back asking if they would consider a proprated amount - no reply. The machine was used 5 times from the date of purchase and cost over $2,000. A terrible company with no integrity.. UPDATE: So I contacted customer service - Within two days a representative called me to discuss. She was very nice but was not helpful in returning unit. She said that too much time had passed and I could not return. I explained to her that I contacted Mike several times and he did not return my calls right away. She said I should have called Customer Service. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT - WHY DIDNT MIKE< THE GUY I WAS DEALING WITH TELL ME - My Mom had just passed and I just wasn't thinking straight. Brooke from Texas was very friendly and offered to send me an email listing options of donation or where to sell unit. THAT WAS MONDAY,TODAY IS THURSDAY MORNING AND GUESS WHAT NO EMAIL HAS ARRIVE. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!

If you buy this from anyone other than inogen the warranty is no good.. even if you buy from a Durable Medical Equipment company.. We got one for mother from a licensed DME company Which went out of business after 33 years.. now the unit ,( 5 years old) does not work and the company will not honor ANY WARRANTY... We were told that if you don't purchase from Inogen directly , they do NOT HONOR ANY WARRANTY...

Luckily, I didn't fall for the high pressure sales of this company. I made one call to get some information on the product and ever since, daily, I am receiving emails or a phone call from a man named Johnathon wanting me to purchase. One day he got a hold of a friend who had my phone and she told him I would be gone for two weeks, (true) but he kept calling back and asking her name or calling and leaving voice mails. I would never do business with this high pressure, rude sales people. After reading the reviews, I'm really glad I didn't.
