I hate this unit. Your commercials says it is quiet and can go anywhere. My unit is so loud I can’t use it at night as it keeps me awake!!!! As for going out in public with it is so loud that it embarrasses to death. This was the worst purchase I have ever made.

I am pleased with my Inogen concentrator and the freedom it allows me. However, I find it quite heavy, as I need to use the longer life batteries, which causes either shoulder or arm soreness. My other issue is a design flaw where the tubing creases shut at the point closest to the machine. I was pinching it open several times a day until my son slid a 2 inch spring over the tubing and down to the beginning of the tubing that is slightly larger. The spring is held in place by the larger tubing, and covers the area that bends preventing it from closing. Problem solved.

This is a follow-up to the review I submitted shortly after purchasing my Inogen G3. I've used the unit for a year now. Over that period of time, my requirement for supplemental oxygen has decreased significantly. My pulmonary health has improved beyond anyone's speculation, including my own! The unit is still just as valuable to me as when I needed to use it much more frequently. When I perform any task, which is greater in exertional than normal walking I frequently do better with some additional oxygen (otherwise I become quite short of breath) this is when the Inogen unit goes to work. Portable, dependable, and effective in supporting my gardening and landscaping projects.

Dependable, good battery life, fairly light in weight, easy to use!

I am currently waiting on my 3rd replacement g5 unit.Warranty coverage is great, but the g5 unit has not proven reliable. My original unit quit functioning in November, while I was out of the country. Had to borrow an oxygen tank from the local dive shop.This will be my 4th g5. I had a g3 which functioned great, until it fell off a table. Hopefully this g5, which is en route, will function better

Frankly, I could not be happier with my unit. I was given a sleep test by my doctor at the VA, and it was determined that my oxygen levels were dropping too low during my sleep. Rather than accepting the huge, bulky O2 tanks provided by the VA, I researched Inogen, and purchased my own unit. It is perfect for my needs. Quiet, easy to use, and very easy to care for. And I have been sleeping much better since I got it. Thanks, Inogen!

Love the G5. Great portability.

After I received the unit it went belly up, I.e., non operative. I called Inogen expecting that I'd connect with and get the 'bounce around' but to my surprise I was told to take any hoses, wires and carrying case off of the unit. I was then told to expect a replacement the following day, Yeah, sure. The replacement unit arrived the next day. The delivery guy offered to get it hooked up but we were able to do it ourselves. Since I am paralyzed on my left side this unit is the bomb. I can actually get around with it. My previous Oxygen supplier tried the oxygen tank solution. Kind of tough using a cane and dragging around a thirty-five pound oxygen tank.
