I hate that I have to use this so that temper is my review, but given that I do it’s probably the best possible option. I added some foam rubber to the inside so it’s a little more comfortable against my back wearing the device in the fanny pack carrier. I wish it were less awkward to be using but I don’t think there are any other options.

I recently purchased the G5 portable oxygen concentrator with the double battery. I received excellent guidance and assistance from my sales rep, Darrin M. Shipping (to Canada) also went quickly and smoothly (the missing backpack in the order was quickly sent in a follow-up shipment). The unit was easy to assemble and charge. I use the POC only in the backpack for walking distances (from 1 to 5 km) and have been pleased with it although I do notice the extra weight (I am a small person weighing 42 kg (about 90 lbs). After using an oxygen tank (very uncomfortable), I was taken aback by the noise of the POC but am getting used to it (and it is muffled somewhat by the backpack). I will purchase the single battery once it is again available to reduce the weight since I generally only need the POC for an hour or two at a time. I find carrying the POC in the shoulder bag uncomfortable and awkward and would not walk distances with it. A machine with the capacity of the G5 (6 l per min) but the smaller size of the G4 allowing hip carrying would be great. For me, a better POC would be all about reduced size and weight (challenging I know). Appreciate the well-built machine and good service from Inogen.

Took a little bit to get used to the pulse supply. Now I wouldn't be without it. No more tanks or running out in the middle of your trips. My prescription calls for up to 6 liters, and the G5 handles it easily. Well designed and quality made. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

I purchased this Inogen for my dad to give him more freedom since he now has to wear oxygen all the time. He does not like it because of the pulse of Oxygen instead of the continual flow. Pretty much a waste of money. Might be good for some people but not everyone.

My husband likes his Inogen. It's small, compact and much easier to take compared to the large tanks he was first given.
