I've been in an abusive relationship with imperfect foods for two years. Rotten produce, missing items, items I didn't order and can't use, open jars of sauce... My order is delivered and hours later I receive a text that it's on the way, quickly followed by a second text telling me it's been delivered. 😏 I have to email for a credit every time I order. Yeah sure, they apologize and credit me. But, they NEVER get it right.

Great box. Food looked better than in stores. Good price too.

This week one box arrived with crushed raw eggs dripping on all the rest of the food because it was packed so badly and thrashed around. The other box had a carton of blueberries smashed on the bottom, ground chicken package with a hole, smashed chips on bottom again. All the food was tossed half-hazardly into the boxes and regular food was mixed into the freezer bag with frozen food (meats were unthawed). This is not the 2nd or 3rd time but every week. This isn't about imperfect products or overage this is about PEOPLE and MANAGEMENT, top down. They are either being overworked or not given directions on how to pack a box. It is not hard to put some tape on a freezer bag or have management train people to do better and teach them SUCCESS. These problematic issues are the norm now, not the exception. Choosing your company is a choice. Support your employees doing the packing and delivery to make sure they have time to do their jobs, can treat the food correctly, and deliver to customers safely. I've been using Imperfect Foods since early 2020. It's been a disappointment almost since Day 1, but I was desperate. Due to the pandemic and health issues we get all food delivered and are limited as to options due to being in a rural area. I can't tell you how many times items have been missing, items were damaged or rotting. The amount of packaging waste is tremendous, and they throw big cooler bags and ice packs in there when there aren't even any cold items. All packaging is non-returnable unless you are in specific zip codes. Box contents look like they were thrown in rather than carefully placed, accounting for a lot of the damage. On the plus side, the company is always quick to issue me a refund when I have issues. Lastly, Imperfect's original goal was to eliminate food waste but they've begun to sell things that are completely the opposite of that. They sell pre-cut, non-surplus, non-ugly vegetables in plastic clamshells which is 'food waste 101'. A significant # of items have "no food waste story" at all (as they put it). They also recently added personal care items, further confusing their mission. They seem to be trying to transition to your standard online grocer with a few 'imperfect' items thrown in. Once this pandemic is over I'm canceling, for sure.

Don’t waste your money! Did not receive much of what I ordered. What i did receive was more oranges and apples than would could ever eat. Individual sizes were tiny and way overpriced! No thanks 😞

I love Imperfect Foods. They are awesome. They have some kinks to work out since items do often come missing, or wrong items sent, but they are always quick to refund the items and are working on fixing these issues so it's okay. I'm sure they don't like wasting all the money they refund because of wrong items sent, so I'm sure they'll get it together. For now, I just order certain things from them such as meats and pantry stuff. the fruits and veggies don't come in packaging and is thrown in the box so i think it's gross and wont order fruits and veggies, but everything else is great.

Like others, we have had a lot of problems with delivery and consistency. Items are often missing from our orders and we have to do the double-checking that they should be doing in order to avoid paying $15 for a package of fish we didn't get. We have lost several loaves of bread when drivers have left the box on our stoop and squirrels chewed into the box. Sometimes we don't get delivery notices in time to stop this. We updated our delivery notes, they delivered inside once. Then they didn't. So we contacted support and they promised to always respect our delivery preferences. But that didn't stick either. When we filed another ticket, they said they couldn't enter our home (it's an unlocked porch with windows on all sides!) and refused to honor the delivery preferences that they twice promised to honor. Every other delivery service uses our porch! We love the service and find it convenient. Several items have become staples for us and our kids love the fresh weekly produce. Very little of it is "imperfect" which is fine with me. But after my own experience and reading these reviews, it's pretty clear they're not going to survive unless they pay attention to customer service.

I understand the concept to reduce waste of imperfect food, but my contained mostly “perfect“ food and more expensive than the grocery store. This doesn’t seem aligned with their mission.
