Rotted Produce Each Time
I tried two medium sized boxes of organic produce from Imperfect Foods. Both times, completely rotted produce (not imperfect - but rotted moldy) were included in the box. Apart from the rotted produce, when you open up the box you get the impression that someone is profiting from food that may have otherwise been sold or donated to a food pantry. There are millions starving in the U.S. We will be using our income to buy instead from CSAs and small farmers directly.

We're so sorry to hear about your experience with us, and for our delay in getting back to you! We promise produce freshness for at least four days, although most should last much longer. We never want you to pay for something you couldn't enjoy, so please feel free to reach out to our customer care team so we can make things right: bit.ly/2FYqBdx We also do hear your concern and want to clarify that by sourcing ugly produce for our boxes, we're not impacting what food banks receive. We source from the 20 billion pounds of produce that goes to waste after food banks take what they can. In working with growers, we do everything we can to ensure that we aren't purchasing produce that would otherwise be donated.
