I deeply regret the day I purchased a timeshare with Holiday Inn Vacation Club. What seemed like an exciting opportunity for stress-free vacations has turned into a nightmare. Since October 2017, I’ve been paying $168.73 every month, yet not once have I been able to use the timeshare. My main goal was to secure convenient weekend bookings, but that’s been nearly impossible due to a severe lack of availability. For over six years, I’ve wasted money on something that provides no value. The financial burden doesn’t end with the monthly payments. I’m also stuck with maintenance fees and membership charges that are impossible to manage. While I’ve kept up with my mortgage payments, falling behind on these extra fees has only added to my stress. And what’s the point of staying current on payments for something that’s only caused frustration? This situation has worsened since my retirement. I initially worked after retiring, but now I rely solely on my retirement income, making these payments even harder to keep up with. Despite trying to negotiate a payment plan for the fees, the core issue remains—I’ve spent thousands of dollars over the years for nothing in return. If you’re considering a timeshare, I urge you to think twice. Save yourself from the frustration, financial hardship, and disappointment.

The fees are always going up, the maintenance of the property is going down and if I take the amount of money I spend in dues alone, I can rent a vey nice beach house for a week for the $3200 I spend in fees. I can rent that beach house for 8 people and my timeshare sleeps 6, but two on a sofa bed that is uncomfortable. It is not worth it anymore. I want out, but they want more money to release me.

They initially offered us a two-day stay, which turned into a seven-hour high-pressure sales pitch trying to get us to sign a contract. They sold it as an “investment for our kids’ future,” claiming it would grow in value over time. But they left out key details, like how maintenance fees would keep rising every year with no end—even after paying off the mortgage. It feels like we were misled into thinking we were buying ownership, but instead, it’s just a never-ending expense. To top it off, when we tried to use the points we paid for to take a mini-vacation, we were told we didn’t have any available. Their system to manage points is overly complicated and frustrating, making it way harder than it should be when all we wanted was to relax as a family. Holiday Inn Vacation Club has been nothing but a letdown. We feel misled and taken advantage of, especially during an already tough time in our lives. You need to do better for your customers especially those just looking for a little peace.

Dealing with Holiday Inn Vacation Club has been a complete nightmare. My mother is seriously ill, and we were assured we could move forward with a deed in lieu of foreclosure to end her ownership. We've sent the required paperwork twice, but Holiday Inn claims they never received it and is now refusing to move ahead with the process. It's unbelievable how little accountability this company has, leaving us to deal with the fallout of their mistakes. My mom shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of stress during such a tough time. Avoid this organization they’re only interested in taking your money and couldn’t care less about their customers.

This company deserves a negative 5 stars. It is a complete money pit that they make impossible to escape. Do yourself a favor and spend your money at any other resorts.

I was under the impression this was a real property investment, but it’s been far from it. I bought this at 67, planning to work until 75, which seemed doable at the time. But I was laid off last year, and things have been tough financially since then. Between my home mortgage and the rising timeshare maintenance fees, it's been a real struggle. While the contracts did mention fees, I wasn’t told they would go up this much over time. Now, traveling is getting harder for me as I get older, and finding work hasn’t been easy in the current job market. I’ve reached out to Holiday Inn Vacation Club several times for help, but I haven’t gotten any real solutions. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would.
