Absolutely Horrible Experience with Holiday Inn Timeshare If I could give 0 stars, I would. Investing in a Holiday Inn timeshare back in 2000 has turned out to be the WORST decision we’ve ever made. What seemed like a great idea at the time has become a never-ending nightmare. My wife and I have been grappling with unforeseen and life-altering health challenges—my wife battling cancer and myself needing neck surgery. These situations have weighed heavily on us emotionally, physically, and financially. Unfortunately, Holiday Inn has shown ZERO compassion or understanding of our predicament. We reached out multiple times, pleading for a way to get out of this burden that no longer serves our lifestyle or situation. Despite explaining our health and financial struggles, the response has been utterly unyielding and dismissive. Rather than help us, they’ve left us trapped in a contract we simply can’t manage anymore. If you’re considering a timeshare with Holiday Inn, think again. I wouldn’t wish this long-term financial strain and stress on anyone. This company prioritizes profits over people, with no regard for individual circumstances. Save yourself the pain and stay FAR away from this predatory scheme.

My experience with Holiday Inn Vacation Club has been disappointing. Maintenance fees increase every year without justification. Reservations are nearly impossible to secure due to constant lack of availability. Despite the cost, the value promised is not delivered. I cannot recommend this service.

Our experience with Holiday Inn Club Vacations has been pretty disappointing. We thought buying Signature would mean more flexibility and ease, but it’s been tough to book the locations we actually want because of these strict reservation "windows." We really expected Signature to solve this issue, but that hasn’t been the case. On top of that, the rising maintenance fees—especially during the holidays—are hard to keep up with, especially since we’re already paying a lot for the timeshare itself. It just doesn’t feel fair. When we’ve reached out to try and resolve these problems, the support hasn’t been helpful, and we’re left feeling like we’ve been scammed. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

ZERO stars!! Don’t accept any terms from them or fall for their gimmicks and lies. You’ll be constantly bombarded for payments and raised property taxes each year and never be able to use your points for vacations at any point you want to. Look across all review platforms and you will see 1000’s and 1000’s of 1-star reviews. Run away and avoid like the plague. I assume a large class action suit will be filed shortly in the future against IHG as a whole. Worst life decision you could make. Run!!

Warning: Deceptive Sales Tactics & No Refunds! I purchased a vacation package to Myrtle Beach after a pushy sales rep assured me I could cancel at any time for any reason—no problem. That was a lie. When my financial situation changed a month later, I tried to cancel, only to receive a letter denying my refund and claiming the agreement clearly stated no cancellations. That was never disclosed to me. Now I’m out nearly $500. Do not trust these crooks. If they’re willing to lie just to get you in the door, imagine what they’ll say during their timeshare presentation to squeeze even more money out of you. I’ve also lost trust in Holiday Inn, which I’ve stayed with for years. I was calling about my account when they transferred me to these scammers. The fact that Holiday Inn is funneling customers into these shady sales pitches speaks volumes. Beware!

I strongly advise anyone considering a timeshare with Holiday Inn to think very carefully about the long-term costs and their impact. For me, this has been an extremely negative and regretful experience.

Zero Stars - I can’t believe how many fees this company piles on. There’s an annual fee that keeps going up, and you’re stuck paying it forever. Then, if you can’t use your points because there’s no availability, guess what? Another fee just to keep them. It’s like they’ve got fees for everything, but when it comes to actual Customer Service or showing a shred of compassion? Nothing. I honestly regret ever getting involved with them. It feels like such a betrayal—like I trusted them, and they completely let me down. If you’re thinking about doing business with them, don’t. Save your money and your peace of mind. Their sales presentations are full of empty promises, and you’ll end up regretting it like I do.

I had a very disappointing experience with Holiday Inn Timeshares and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. First, the lack of flexibility is frustrating. They claim you can vacation on your terms, but that’s not true. You can only book on their available dates, forcing you to schedule around them. To get dates close to what you want, you need to plan 1–2 years in advance, which is unreasonable. I’ve also dealt with ongoing account issues. Earlier this year, my sister used my timeshare account to book a trip, and they somehow changed the account name to hers. Despite multiple calls and speaking with the deeding department—who confirmed I’m the rightful owner—the issue still hasn’t been fixed months later. The resort service is another problem. At Orange Lake Resort in Florida, my brother and his fiancé stayed on the 8th floor, but both elevators were out of service. They had to carry a baby and luggage up the stairs. How is this acceptable? Then there’s the cost. Annual fees keep rising with no improvement in service. On top of that, they pressure you to attend upgrade meetings during your stays, which feels unprofessional and pushy. Management has done nothing to resolve my concerns.
