I would put zero but unable to . I filled out the prefilled application I was unable to correct the misinformation from prefilled . Along with unable to to put in my Diploma. I called Monday first thing and spoke to a gentleman and explained the situation he apologized saying they did were having issues with their computer system not to worry just upload W2 and Diplomas along with transcripts. I did I uploaded all my diplomas along with all my W2 dating years back . They informed me today that report was being sent back as discrepancies and not being honest ! I explained the malfunction in the computer prefilled and that I spoke to a gentleman Monday and explained I submitted W2 and diplomas . The lady again said we can not change your information. I’m so upset that this professional company does not accept their fault . Also I was told I would get a call back from 12:00 this morning I did not I called and was on hold for 3 hours yes 3 hours . Only to find that they will not correct the computer prefilled as I was unable to and called Monday morning to let them know told not to worry just send in W2 along with diploma which I did . And it is not acceptable??? Now I risk looking like a liar to the hiring company and have to call and explain . This is not a professional company at all.

I honestly can't believe this place is still in business. I'm already a month and 10 days into a BG check for a job that requires simple employment and criminal verification. They are some of the most incompetent people I've ever come across. One day it's "Yes, we have the information and expected completion is [x]" and a week later it's "We have yet to receive the information, so we're still waiting on it". They sure are quick about responding to all these 1 star reviews though. I am actually going through a federal BG check after securing a position with another company, which was done because I have ZERO faith in HR to process this correctly. I cannot wait to complete this check so I can tell the company using HR that they are the sole reason I will be withdrawing my application.

Abysmal customer service. Instead of reacting to very well-grounded reviews on TrustPilot and sharing the generic customer service emails, try training the customer support team and ensuring requests do not stay open for weeks without resolution. My ticket number is 12805706. I have already had the pleasure to e-meet 6 members of the customer service team, yet the request is still pending with no resolution in sight. This is a fantastic example of blatant incompetence of customer support and zero attention of the leadership team to customer experience.

This employee verification process is one I’ve never gone through before. I’m familiar with 3rd parties/Hr departments doing their due diligence (I.e. doing the job themselves that they were hired to do) but the employees at HireRight are lazy and incompetent. They’re not even taking the time to contact previous employers and doing the necessary research to validate employment. I’ve had to submit W2s for every single employer due to them not being able to “verify” it’s ridiculous. Then when I upload the documents for proof they still send notifications that they can’t verify and need additional information. I call them to confirm and they said “oh whoops you did submit the correct documents we must’ve overlooked it”.. I’m having to personally call all my previous employers to request information - is this my job or theirs?? On one instance, I called but there was a wait so I requested a call back. Shortly after I got a call from HireRight and it was an employee leaving a message on my phone about another candidate’s court case.. told me his name, offense, dates and all. Another time I called to get a status update, I had an employer tell me they were waiting on a response from a court house in a city i used to work in.. they must’ve confused the two because I’ve never had a criminal/civil court date/judgement/hearing/filing. This entire process is subpar and ultimately slowing down my pre employment verification which puts me at risk of not being able to start on the hire date that I was provided. 0/10 would not recommend! Would be great to have experienced, intelligent, competent, resourceful, excellent communicators working on my background check, handling my sensitive information. Invest in your employees and provide them with better training and develop better policies.

An incompetent company made of the worst type of people. They asked me if they can contact an employer I had 5 years ago. Told them "yes". Didn't stop them from asking me to send them the original contract and a document showing when I left the company, as if I'd have such documents laying around. That's why I clicked "yes". Filled with losers.

I took a drug screening and DOT Physical for a potential employer on May 12th, 2023. It is now May 24, 2023. I have called multiple times trying to get a status. The HR director of the company I applied to has also called multiple times and spoke to multiple people with no results. Most of the time I am just trying to interpret broken English. There are several tickets and escalation tickets of just trying to find out where they posted this information ( DOT). CRL is the testing lab and I have in hand the chain of custody. This has cost me 2 weeks of work so far... It would be nice of them to just say they lost the results, so I can just do it again. That would require integrity.

I was told my background check would be cleared in about 15 hours still nothing I tried calling and nothing! Like come on the reviews are horrible are they at least trying to make it better this is so messed up I’m angry!!!

I'm still under their background check process and I'm annoyed enough by this company. It's hard to say how's their ROI for who pays for their service, but as a new (almost) employee of a company passing through their process, I have to say that they not only lack of technology, with a online platform from the 2010's, but also lack an understanding of the specific situation of a person. My issue is specifically about an employment documentation, which were already explained more than 3 times, and they're still asking for the same documents. Some legal documents were provided, contacts, urls from trusted sources, but still, they just force you to submit anything that comes to their mind. If you're about to deal with this company, good luck. Ask the HR team of your new employer for help, let them know the situation, and how you can address the situation. It's easier than just keep waiting for any action from HireRight.
