UPDATE-Alpha reached out to me immediately to correct this issue and the customer service has been awesome in response time since. Alpha is a legit service however the demand they are receiving with people wanting weight loss medication is through the roof. Patience does pay off and know that this company is doing everything they can to improve everyone’s experience! I submitted my information, lab work and $35 six days ago. I was told I would hear from someone within 72 hours as of Monday October 24th I have heard nothing. I sent a message in my Alpha Medical account and received no communication back. My medication will run out on Wednesday this week, this is very disturbing to say the least.

Usually when you are referred it’s a good thing. But that is my fault in thinking I would have a good experience. I’m five days out today with no response back. Yes, it was communicated about experiencing delays but this is crazy. I love the idea behind this platform but there needs to be some serious changes made. Several days to get a initial response and my prescription was called in but no response on if my prior authorization has been started or will be addressed. I feel like I have been left to figure it out on my own. I guess my next appointment will come around and I’ll be still waiting on my prior authorization. So disappointed! Not sure if I will be continuing on. This has not been a good experience at all. Hopefully, things will improve soon!

I started using Alpha in July. All was well before the recent increase in business and subsequent significant delay in responses, aside from a minor UX comment. Last month I requested the same dose of medicine via the form but still got a query from doc as to which dose I wanted which caused the whole process to be 7+ days, as each response is 72 hours. This month, I requested an earlier return visit, because I am going in holiday. This was approved. Then, my doc responded at 72 hours saying I approved your new dose but please respond back 30 Oct?! So clearly my original message has not been read or passed on. Either way, this makes me likely to have to take my medicine late due to the delay last month. Poor, impersonal service. UX note- Weight loss requires a fresh visit each time. This generates emails that suggest it’s your first time using alpha which is quite confusing. Alpha- so I write you and wait 3 days for a response anyway? What’s the point!

What is going on? So many people having problems getting a response about medication. This is a big deal! It’s been 5 days since I started my follow up for migraine medication. It’s been 3 days since my last response. Do I need to find another company? I’m out of medication, I’m stressing out and it’s causing me a headache I don’t have medication for. You already took my money. Can I please have my medication now? Reviews are really bad right now.

Terrible response time. When you reach out via instant messaging on a social media platform they say they’ll have someone reach out, and it’s a big circle all over again. They are quick to take your money, but not quick to provide the service you are paying for. 0/10 do not recommend.

I initially had a good experience with alpha medical. I was able to get mounjaro for weight loss. However when I did my follow up visit over 6 days ago the provider said she would send in my updated rx but my pharmacy has still not received the medicine and I have now had a lapse in it for 5 days. I have tried messaging on the app multiple times and calling but no one ever picks up.

Had a appointment on 19th of follow up to get a increase on dose. Got contacted a 6:42 on the 19th. Reached out again regard script on from 19th appointment. 20tSunday... got charged another 35 dollars .Nothing, 21st reach out again. Nothing., 22nd called left voice-mail and reach out. Still nothing an going on 12:00 pm. Waiting to hear back. Guess I'll be missing my dose on sunday...

I was really impressed with them at first, but the delayed response time to get a reply from a provider to get a refill completed is not sustainable. The medication in question already takes a week to fill at my pharmacy, so waiting so many business days for a follow up response is not ok!
