My experience as a provider has been good, there have been some hiccups along the way, but the issues were resolved in a appropriate and timely manner. Navigating Insurance can be a headache and headway has helped to make it a little easier to manage.

Unethical business. The Dr. cancelled on the day before appointment - so couldn't get another appointment in time. In the cancellation email it said "dont worry you will not be charged" but yet now I get an email saying I am being charged $75 for the cancellation. Do not use them . Update - 8/1 - the response below is "fake". there is no "contact". Only option is to open a "ticket" which I did but there has been no response . This is fraud and I will be complaining to the FBI. Update : I received an email from "Mae" stating that each provider has their own policy and that I need to reach to them when in fact the provider cancelled. Besides I received an email from Headway explicitly stating that I wont be charged. This seems to be an attempt to hold on to the customer money , even if its temporary , to earn interest. I did the initial info session where I was told many times that this is a "free" service for therapists. When I asked how they make their money I was given a kind of obscured answer about how they have agreements with the insurance companies. I asked how much they pay per plan, and then I called those plans to ask how much I'd be paid if I was contracted independently with them. The difference between these two figures was substantial. So basically Headway takes a cut of the payment that would otherwise go to the provider. Calling that "free" is an absolute lie. I would never work with this company, as right out of the gate they are deceptive and dishonest.

I appreciate the guidance of Headway staff along the way. Also, it is helpful for my clients to receive their estimated copays prior to each session. However, waiting 2 months to get paid after my first billed session has been difficult.

As a client, I found a wonderful therapist, but DO NOT recommend Headway. It is impossible to get in touch with them for billing issues, and there are MANY. I called the provider, they say they have no way to reach Headway. I called my insurance company, Aetna, and they have no way to reach Headway. My provider states they have not been paid by Headway and are sending me the bill because neither one of us can reach Headway to get this fixed. It is ridiculous that Headway has no contact information and when they respond to this review, they'll ask me to send in a request on their form which is impossible to locate and send. As a "mental health" company, it is obvious Headway does not care about their providers or clientele. People who are already stressed and depressed are put into an awful position with Headway. Read the reviews and stay away.

Headway is an outstanding company! I struggled for years to find a provider who I could afford. Headway made the process so simple! Thank you, Headway!
