My thoughts about the platform
The process of getting credentialed was easy and fast. The multiple forms were easy to navigate through once I was up and running. The process of writing the process notes are easy to follow and complete.

Working with Lucas to get onboarded has been extremely helpful. He has been very responsive and helpful, which is why I am giving 5 stars.

Working with Headway is excellent because their insurance rates are good, and I do not have to worry about billing. However, I wish I had more referrals from them to build a full caseload.

I was seeing a therapist that was very critical to my well-being when HEADWAY decided that I had to have a $250 co-pay at the max. My insurance covers completely my therapy. Out of the blue, HEADWAY stopped paying for the therapy sessions and stopped paying my counselor stating on their site that I had not filled in my insurance correctly. My insurance was filled in correctly from the beginning this company also ripped off paying my counselor for months. I would NEVER recommend them. I started seeing my therapist in March 2024 almost every week until July 2024 when I was told that my therapist was not in net work. I had called my insurance company and they told me that she was in net work. What a rip off!

Headway worker Chris gaslight me and lied! They messed up my insurance, when trying to communicate through email, they refused to acknowledge that they were at fault, and tried to blame it on my insurance....my insurance had nothing to do with it as they said headway refused to cooperate with them! Headway also threatened me saying i would be refused therapy if my insurance doesn't work....again it wasn't my insurance....they were taking my husband insurance who's primary of it...but not mine saying i had 2 insurances when i didnt!!! Even my therapist was having problems with them, and apparently headway has threatened more of her clients! I asked to speak to a supervisor and they ignored my request! I highly would not recommend

I've been with Headway for over 4 months. I brought several clients with me, who were previous OON or cash pay. These clients are very grateful to be paying less per session, now that I accept their insurance via Headway. Many of the insurance plans Headway works with pay a decent amount ($100 or more) per session. While I like the Headway platform and the various outcome measures they give clinicians/clients access to, I think it's unconscionable for any therapist to be paid less than $100 per session. Headway provides a valuable service in making insurance credentialing much easier than doing it alone, but the rates could be increased for some plans.

Yeah I would stay away from this place if you need immediate help and you schedule an appointment and if you don't put your card on file right away that they say that they're going to place a hold on If you don't do that they will cancel your appointment. Now I've been searching for a psychiatrist or medication management for a while now and I thought that I finally found somewhere but obviously the payment is the highest concern not the patient so and I get it it's a business and I realize that that is your priority the business so I will move on from you all Thank you!!! And you I hate any establishment that hides behind email and bots to do their customer service instead of actually having a live person for you to deal with do you want me to log in and do this verification try to reschedule and all of this when all you had to do was reach out and make a phone call and this could have been solved right away but no.

My insurance company has confirmed multiple times that my provider is in-network with Headway. Unfortunately, Headway's communication is almost non-existent. When you finally reach someone by phone (because no one answers and they don't have direct dials), they're not able to help with anything due to "lack of training". You're simply asked to repeat the same processes - that don't work - you've already done multiple times. There's no option for manual insurance verification over the phone, and you can't speak to a supervisor. Have spent hours attempting to rectify the situation.
