I had a horrible experience. I ordered an Easter basket for my kids the day before Easter, and received a confirm that it would be delivered that same day. On Easter morning, I was notified that my order was not placed in time and would not arrive that day, but would arrive the day after Easter. I said to cancel the order - it was no use to me after Easter. Not only was I told that the order could be canceled because it already been processed, but when the order finally showed up it was for entirely different items than I had paid for.

I would leave 0 stars if I could
I would leave 0 stars if I could. Ordered a basket in December for my partner who was finally home after a stint in the hospital. I requested same day delivery and it did not deliver until 3 weeks later (after multiple emails being exchanged with a Nicole). When the basket arrived, the basket itself was not the one I ordered and it was broken into 4-5 pieces. The contents were either spoiled (the cheeses) or broken as well. I reported this to Nicole, and she never responded again. I followed the protocols on the website to send an email and include photos of the basket upon its arrival - no response. I have since been emailing all of the email addresses associated with customer service, and no response for MONTHS. Finally, yesterday I sent an email using a different email address and included that I could only assume this mistreatment of a paying customer felt like it was due to be being gay (something I'd included in my email to Nicole previously as this was a gift for my partner).
A man named Oscar emailed me back almost immediately stating "this accusation is completely unfounded, absurd, and frankly desperate sounding"
Do not use this company. They are a bunch of jerks who have no motive to help you.

“Passover” basket isn’t kosher for Passover
Same deal as everyone else. Terrible terrible company. Ordered a bunch of “Passover” baskets for donors of a non-profit. They sent a bunch of stuff that wasn’t Kosher, let alone Kosher for Passover. Seriously, who sends shortbread cookies in a Passover basket?! Screw your “substitution” policy. That is just unacceptable.

Don’t waste your money
Appalling customer service. Ordered the Tequila & Tortilla gift basket- arrived with no Tequila, Lemon or chocolates. When contacted they tried to say I’d agreed to substitutions! Nothing like what’s advertised and took 3 separate deliveries to put right. Even then there were still missing items but I can’t tolerate any further incompetence. They only attempted to rectify after threat of chargeback via my credit card company. Avoid at all costs. The quality of the items are poor and unless you ask the recipient to check the contents you would never know they’d omitted the alcohol from the basket. Sounds like a scam and looking at the rest of the feedback here looks like it is!

Agree with everyone else on here
Agree with everyone else on here. Do not use this company. The delivered a basket that all the strawberries were smashed and juice was all over everything. When I contacted customer service they said there was nothing they could do about it.

Bad Company Service
My sister, living in the United Kingdom, for Christmas, ordered for me, living in Salem, Oregon, the Deluxe Wild Salmon and Wine Gift basket from the Hazelton company. It was listed as including maple glazed smoked salmon, smoke salmon pate, camembert cheese, crackers, maple syrup, acacia wood cheese knives, and a bamboo cutting board. What finally arrived three weeks after Christmas, were five packets of assorted crackers, a bottle of Woodbridge Merlot, a bottle of maple syrup, a container of hot chocolate, an Italian Salame sausage, and a lemon!
The disappointment was heightened by the fact that I am pescatarian (I eat fish, but not meat) and do not like hot chocolate.
I do understand that there are many considerations to take into account this year with Covid providing heavy demand on gift baskets and delivery, but an initial lack of communication over the Christmas period and finally a random selection of unrelated items seems in no way a satisfactory replacement. When my sister and I both raised the issue and the unfairness, independently, we both received from separate individual the same stone walling, at first no response to phone calls or emails, then finally the claim that they had the right to replace "as per (their) substitution policy stipulated in (their) terms and conditions, at times substitutions may be necessary to fulfill orders in a timely manner, especially in the event that an order is time-sensitive and intended for a special occasion." The total unwillingness to accept any responsibility for such an outlandish selection of random and unrelated (and of unequal value) items seems churlish and unprofessional. As a consequence, on Friday February 19th at 4:00 p.m. PST I returned all the items back to the company because the items and the response from individuals in the Hazelton company was unacceptable.
I returned all Hazelton's items in original box with all packing, basket, bow, etc, (and lemon - in a plastic bag as a courtesy.) I have asked for a full refund.
At the end of all this my sister in frustration gave a one star rating to the Hazelton company on their website, and the company had the sheer audacity to increase it to five stars. This level of accountability and misrepresentation leaves one truly aghast.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
Hazelton's has the absolute worst customer service ever. I ordered a gift basket for a recently married couple - the husband is deploying to Iraq to serve our country, so it was imperative that the gift be delivered by a specific date. While placing the order I was prompted to enter my delivery preference and I also paid for expedited shipping, however once I received my email confirmation it was clear the gift would not be delivered in time. I immediately called the company, however the 1-800 number advertised on both their website and the order confirmation email was not in service. Next I live chatted a customer service agent (they advertise 24/7 assistance) and was told that she was the only person working due to it being a Saturday and did not have authority to cancel or refund my order. She stated I should call Monday morning at 9am EST. I sent emails over the weekend as well - both Saturday and Sunday - only to be met by additional unhelpful responses refusing to cancel the order by placing blame on me as the customer and shipping providers. I called at 9:00am on the dot Monday morning, and received a voicemail stating all lines were full, so I requested a call back. By 9:45am I had yet to receive a call back, so I called again, and received the same response. I think live chatted AGAIN, only to be told no one could help me. This is ridiculous. I've been trying since I placed the order to cancel it, and continue to try to get in touch with a manager 2 days later. I am sure by the time I receive a call back I will be told the order cannot be cancelled due to it already shipping, which undoubtedly will be a convenient response for Hazelton.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HAZELTON'S GIFTS. Go to Harry & David's instead. Hazelton does not care about your customer experience or satisfaction. They overpromise and underdeliver, then refuse to provide alternative solutions.
