I ordered an anniversary box with the intention that my friends could open a bottle of wine on their wedding day for the next 3 years. The wines were not delivered in the special anniversary box, but in a simple box so that the whole intention (to open a wine every year) was not clear. In addition, there was a different wine in the box than was ordered and the wedding card with our best wishes for the wedding couple was also missing. Response of the customer service of Hazeltons to my complaint : By placing an order you accepted our terms and conditions, and thus agreed that the order may consist of products that differ from the original product description. How bad!

If I could give no stars I would. Ordered champagne with chocolate dipped strawberries for a friend’s retirement. What she got was a bunch of melted mush wrapped in cellophane. She didn’t even recognize what it was. Company says they can’t guarantee perishable items will be perfect. Only offering 50% refund on the strawberries. That would be ok if some of the product was salvageable. None of it was. Called to try and speak to a live person. No one returned my call. What a scam!!!! No disclaimer attached to perishables delivered in hot weather. Why do it at all if there’s a good chance it will be ruined. And the idiot who delivered this. God!! No one has any integrity anymore. I would be too horrified to deliver that mess. I guess if they were being paid to deliver a cellophane wrapped bucket of manure they’d do it. No problem. Don’t use this company

Received late and totally destroyed items. Perishables had damaged packaging and most items had to be thrown out. Worse, customer service refused to issue a credit or refund even with a picture. They said the picture didnt show sufficient damage. I They ruined my parents' 50th anniversary. The parent company has several such websites. Do not but ANYTHING from Gift Group (their email addresses contain "giftgp")

I ordered 2 baskets to be sent to different addresses at Christmas. When I realized that they would not be delivered by the necessary date, I asked that they just cancel the order. Then AMAZINGLY, I got an email saying my order had been sent. (No communication from them until that time.) One of the orders was DAYS late, but arrived in good condition. The other recipient sent me a picture of what had been delivered. It was a cardboard box with a broken basket (not even the one we ordered), 2 of the 3 wine bottles were broken, and the food items were inedible due to broken glass. I emailed the picture to the company and asked for a refund. That was 5 months ago! They have been mainly unresponsive, with the exception being to send me an auto-generated letter explaining that due to Co-vid, things have been slow, and I we just needed to be patient. 😒

Like many others on here I was one of the unfortunate shoppers who received rotten fruits and very cheap products from a very expensive hamper I paid. But here I want to share with you all my success of getting a FULL REFUND from Hazelton. 1. Take photos of the rotten fruits and email Hazelton Customer Service these photos. Make sure you state what time you placed the order, what time you requested for the hamper to be delivered, and what time the fruit basket was actually delivered in the email. Take close up photos of the rotten fruits. 2. You are unlikely to get any responses from the customer service but you continue to email them to show that you have chased them many times. I myself sent about 7 emails and made a couple of phone calls. I received zero reply. 3. Contact your credit card company after about 3 days of receiving your goods to file for a "charge back" and sent them all your emails. Including the confirmation email from Hazelton, the emails you sent to chase and include the day and time you tried to make contact with Hazelton via phone. 4. When I filed "charge back" Hazelton tried to fight back but I eventually won because I have all the documents to show that they did not bother responding to me. Also, they tried to say they have no responsibility of the rotten fruits but this is not true. They have ALL the responsibilities to ensure all fruits are in edible condition as we did not ORDER for rotten fruits. I hope you all can get your money back!!

They don't deserve a single star. I wish I would have read all of these negative reviews before ordering from this bait and switch company. The photos speak for themselves. The "gift basket" looked NOTHING like what was advertised on their "Mutts & Mousers" website. I understand per the FAQs on their website that sometimes substitutions are necessary, but this was WAY off. The gift basket I ordered didn't even come in a basket as shown, instead it was delivered in a basic plastic bag. The treats are not the "dehydrated delectables" and the toy is not a giraffe or even a stuffed animal. Poor quality, generic items were substituted and the delivery came very late. I even added some Brandy to the gift order, which was not even included (they did charge me for it). When I emailed customer service they did not respond for a week. Then someone named "Sam" replied to my email and was very rude, demanding photos. After I sent the photos they said they were "not useful" and to "share the correct pictures". Don't embarrass yourself by sending "gift baskets" from this company!

This is a scam company. If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a hamper for my mother's 60th birthday and paid 300 dollars for a hamper with 13 luxury items and an orchid. She recieved a hamper without an orchid and with 2 cheap boxes of chocolates. Customer service sent a generic and unhelpful answer saying that they reserve the right to substitute items. They are scamming honest people of their company!

Terrible service. I ordered a gift with two toys for two kids. Only one was sent. Apparently this is within the substitution policy. However the live chat operator agreed to send a second toy. So far, so good but this was never sent and i was not informed. I would avoid this company"
