I returned a hose for a Free Replacement under their lifetime guarantee. By the way, this is the second time this brand of outdoor hose has failed. We are seniors at a condo in the Pacific Northwest and have not abused the hose. Now, HS want to charge me sales tax and shipping $19.00. This is misleading and a scam. OMG. I cannot recommend this piece of crap company and products that they sell.

I had ordered items in the passed and was satisfied with their products. However this time I was charged shipping and taxes, that were not shown on the order form, Alabama was not listed as one of the states that required taxes to be collected. I was also disappointed that everything was made in China, which again was not clear in their advertising. I do not buy Chinese merchandise and will not order again from Hammacher Schlemmer.

I was mislead when I returned non stick copper pan set. After the initial set scratched I returned them and received another . That set scratched as well . They told me that I would receive a refund but instead they are sending a gift certificate. Now what I buy will cost shipping and handling plus they subtract 10.00 from my refund .

I returned a 2 year old defective driveway alarm that was guaranteed for life & they sent me a new one free with me paying only the postage on the returned alarm. I strongly recommend doing business with this company if they have want you are seeking.

6 years ago I ordered a 15 foot Rudolph inflatable. It comes with a life time warranty. 12-2016 the back of Rudolphs head ripped out so I returned him. My warranty replacement came 1-2017. I never opened the box as the holidays were over. 2017 we went to Florida for the winter so I put up no Christmas decorations. This year when I opened the Rudolph box I realized they sent me Clarice on accident. Luckily I found my old emails and contacted the company. They honored the mistake and are sending a 100.00 toward my new Rudolph purchase, as we do love Clarice and want to keep her. This company stands by their word and their warranties.

After some trouble getting an order to process (which left me unsure for a bit whether I was going to end up with 3 of what I ordered), the rest of the experience was pretty painless. I ordered my wife a 45" tall jewelry armoire, which I was nervous about since the entire front was a mirror. After shipping more quickly than the original ETA, it arrived in flawless condition as it was very well packed. I got a price I was happy with due to a sale, and my wife got the armoire she's been dropping hints about for a year. Everyone's happy!
