Guardsman takes weeks to response. Only to reach out to them after eight weeks to set up an appointment. Four weeks later a service agent comes to the house just to state they need to order the part which will take another four weeks. If we haven’t heard by then contact them again and then try to schedule a time to fix our $1,500 couch. So by the end it’ll be a 4 month process. Would not recommend. Clearly their reputation precedes them as there are 113 reviews of them with an average of 1.4 stars.

I bought an outside umbrella with led solar lights first the lights stopped working and then while putting it up one of the legs bent. I filed a claim 4 weeks later they tell me bent metal is not covered. The associate at BRANDSMARTUSA told me it covered everything! I will never buy any warranty that had a guardsman name on it!

Put in claim on 5/9/2021 and didn't get the part until 3/2023!! Would not issue a refund as they cannot in the state I live in. Sent the part to the wrong address multiple times and blamed covid for the time. I understand some delay but not 2 years! Will never get another protection plan through them

Now 15 weeks and still waiting for an email or call Do not use this company in Australia. What a waste of money and time with nothing done after 2 months. I splurged on a new leather lounge for over $4000. So when we were paying for this the lounge sales man suggested we take out this cover to allow any marks that are made on the lounge it will be repaired at no charge. I didn't do my research on the company before I committed (I wish I had). He said it covered all marks except pet marks. I got a mark on it like it was glue, so I tried contacting Guardsman on their website but nothing working. I tried calling no answer, I sent 2 emails and finally they came back with ALL the questions and photos maybe 3 times I had to send these photos. They said they would send out a technician. I received a phone call on a Saturday at 8am saying he would be there at 11am (not a lot of notice) I had to make changes to my plans to accommodate. The technician arrived and tried removing the mark but was not able to he said he would send a report to the company and the company would get back to me. The company Guardsman took weeks to reply after I had to chase them up. Guardsman said they could repair it but no guarantees that it would be perfect. I was not happy with this reply. I asked for the lounge to be replaced. They would not do this. Then I asked for compensation but they would not do this. They offer to change the leather for a cut and sew replacement. That was 1 month ago with virtually no updates. I have to send and email and they say they are waiting for the material. 2 months later I am still waiting, I wonder how long this will take. This cover is not worth the hassle, money and time wasting. Its now 9 weeks since the damage.

Don't be juked by this bs company! They do not offer any service besides collecting your money and never following through with any actual coverage. Totally. A. Pile. Of S*

Rang guardsman to use my cover today only to be told because its in my husband's name they can't talk to me. I said are you joking we are married live together, my husband hasn't got time when he's at work to make a phone call which takes forever to even get answered. It's a complete joke it seems once they take your money for extended cover they will make excuses absolutely disgusting attitude.

DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND WILL NOT COVER ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOUR RECLINER OR COUCH. THEY ALSO CONTACT YOU WEEKS LATER PAST YOUR DUE DATE AND TELL YOU ITS NOT COVERED. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE FURNITURE STORE I BOUGHT MY COUCH FROM TO LET THEM KNOW THAT GUARDSMAN DOESN’T STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY. I WILL ALSO BE SHARING THIS WITH EVERYONE THAT I KNOW INCLUDING SOCIAL MEDIA SO OTHERS DO NOT WASTE THERE MONEY. COMPANIES LIKE GUARDSMAN SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.

Absolutely horrible! Bought the plan on a new sectional, on 1 of the reclining seats its needing more stuffing added. When u recliner fully u can feel a board on your lower back. Also on 1 arm of the chaise the support board got broken by a friend trying to get out of it. He used his elbow and for support and when he did the board snapped. Called them and they talked like it would be fixed. Sent all the info and pics and now suddenly they said they don't cover loss of stuffing and won't fix the chaise cause structural issues aren't covered. I'm so pissed off. I bought a 5 yr warranty. I'm going to try to get reimbursed for what's left
