Terrible customer service. Submitted a claim 3 weeks ago and they keep telling me that it will be next week or the week after when we hear something. I called in and when asked questions and the lady on the phone said...I'm sorry your breaking up...I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said..I heard something about supervisor, do what? your breaking up...Waste of several hundred dollars on this warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE A GUARDSMAN WARRANTY. (UPDATE) they denied the claim.

This company is a scam. I spent 1200 on a plan for my furniture. They won’t process claims. Please do not buy anything from this company

Please RUN and DO NOT waste your hard-earned money on this sham of an "elite" service. The requirements for them to handle your claim are unreasonably stringent and end up exempting them from handling typical situations.

Do NOT use Guardsman for anything! Buyers BEWARE out there! They are running a scam operation and screwing over their furniture companies they promote and offer services through. There are only a couple handfulls of people who work for them to begin with. They a rude, hard to get a hold of and work on E.Coast hours only. They hang up on people all of the time! They intentionally put people off by mean means & excuses to NOT honor a 30-day window for service. They are not even servicing people! You are constantly told a different thing every time you call in. Finally, I had someone tell me the truth in so many words and then hang up on me again! They are intentionally doing this! It is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with or experienced! I bought furniture from Ethan Allen and now they are ruining their repuation as well. What Guardsman does is set up "contract agreements" with bigger furniture companies that have no idea that they operate on only a few people and rely on this money they make from each furniture venue and their own product line, but they do NOT actually service anyone nor honor any warranties! It is fraudulent! They do this to anyone calling in to have an item serviced. They make up all kinds of excuses, are rude, hang up on you, mix up your information, act like they don't speak english, say they'll call you back but never do or that someone already came by but you weren't home to honor an appointment. Which is ALL false! How they and these furniture companies are getting away with ripping off so many people at this time?-I don't know! I was told a person would be out and that it was already set up to waiting months now and being hung up on repeatedly, to their 'form page' on their website not working bec they take it down on purpose so that peoples requests cannot be received nor process. If it does it work, they then make all kinds of excuses on why they can't help. Again, a different story every time you call in. And the RUDEST people you'll ever encounter! How can they consciously live themselves for doing this to so many people? They have ripped off so many people. I never now want to even buy anything else from Ethan Allen! They should know better when aligning themselves with another company or one fraudulent! It's also Bassett Furniture and a number of others. They are scamming the masses all while making money. Do not purchase an agreement with them as they do not honor it! Get your money back now from the furniture stores IF they are the ones who charged you. This business is not an active service- they are legit. How they are treating people is horrible!

If i can rate this 0 star i would. I reported a claim for a massage chair. I noticed something is off with my massage chair and since i don't use my massage chair everyday, i didn't report right away as i want to make sure that there was really a damage on the mechanism. After several use and investigation, i reported the damage and they guy i talked to said its beyond the time frame to report (30 days) the damage and he kept rambling without hearing me talking and explaining my case. He even hanged up the phone on me. Bottomline, i cannot claim the damage i reported which i bought the claim protection for 5 years. This company sucks, especially the guy i talked to from their claims department. Will never buy this claim insurance again!!!!

I bought furniture from Haverty's and sale manager sell you the Gaurdman insurance with some scary advices. I placed the claim with Gaurdman and they rejected it saying it is more than 30 days. it was just 2 days difference. I asked them if I can correct the date they said NO. And going forward I cannot file any claim on the furniture. I lost $700. When I ask them I want my refund, they gave corporate address which is PO box number. I am not sure if they refund my money. Customer service is very rude and worst behavior. My suggestion, DO NOT buy these insurance instead pay some local handyman/company, they fix it and make like new.

I'd go no stars if I could. If you are buying furniture and are offered an extended warranty from this pack of shonks, DO NOT BUY it. It will waste your money and time. Poor customer service, no explanations provided of the warranty or anything really, the 'technicians' 'assessment' (and I use both terms loosely) was a farce. Not worth the paper it is printed on as a warranty. I actually did read the warranty and only proceeded to call because I thought the damage was covered. Off to try to get my furniture fixed from the retailer. Not fancying my chances there either. But word from me, avoid this company!!!!

This is worst experience ever with the protection plan. Submitted a claim but rejected for different reasons and did not provide proper explanation. Worst customer service and will never ever take this company protection plan.
