I am really unhappy with Growjoy. I prepurchased red double wave Petunia plants in December of 2020 for delivery in June of 2021. I paid $159.00. In June I got what I think are small carnations which of course I did not order. I will never use this company again. They send out the wrong product then you cannot get in touch with them to complain. If I could give a 0, I would. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

Hello Carolyn, I am truly sorry to hear that you received the wrong plants. We moved from our old emailing system to a new ticketing system which can be located on the contact us page on our website. I would love to make sure you were taken care of but I could not locate a customer account with the information provided. Would you be able to provide your order number here? Or go to our contact us page and submit a ticket? Sincerely, Ashley.

Add me to the list of dissatisfied…
Add me to the list of dissatisfied customers who in the past was very satisfied with Growjoy. I too received a large order and 2 tomato and 2 cucumber plants were in bad shape. I immediately took photos and sent them to Growjoy. I tried to nurse them back to no avail. I again sent numerous emails and left phone messages. I received the email saying the problems Growjoy was having and sympathized with them. Daily I get text messages with their sales but never did they respond. I hate writing this review because in the past loved the plants and recommended company to several.

Update: PAYPAL MADE THEM REFUND ME IN FULL EVEN IF SOME PLANTS UPON RETURN WERE NOT 100% DEAD BUT ONLY HALF DEAD: I was very disappointed to get $293.00…
I was very disappointed to get $293.00 worth of dead plants. I reached out via email and it bounced back to me. I believe I did send the email to the correct address to start a "ticket", but I could be mistaken. The customer service line and email are disconnected. I put in a case to Paypal for a refund and their response was this:

Michael, I am truly sorry to hear that you plants arrived in horrible shape. This is not how we want any of our plants to arrive. When the plants were delivered there would have been instructions included, inside those instructions it tells you to go to our contact us page for any issues. Also, if an email was sent to us, we have an auto response set up, advising you to go to our contact us page to submit a ticket for any issues. We no longer have access to our emails, or phones. We have moved to a new ticketing system to help our customers. The youtube video is still there, you have to use the link provided via email. It is not set to be viewed by the public, it was a private link sent to all of our customers. We do guarantee all of our plants to arrive in good shape, and if it turns out that the plants will not thrive for you, we will give you store credit towards another purchase.
I have reached back out to them through Paypal because a refund is the only appropriate measure here. The plants could not thrive and I do not want points or a store credit. I am an avid gardener and have never experienced anything like this. I will continue through Paypal until I get my money returned. They can have their dead sticks in a pot that they sent me. The disconnected communication systems wreak of a fraudulent situation.

Hello Carla, I am very sorry for the experience you had with us. The ticket that you had created did work, as a representative had responded back to you within 24 hours. From the pictures of the plants you had sent in, we could only see 2, maybe 3 plants that were dead or in bad shape. The rest of the plants looked to be in great shape with lots of green leaves, we offered to refund the dead plants. We came to the conclusion that once the plants were returned back to us we would issue a full refund. The plants and full refund was processed on 08/04. Please let me know if this is not the case. Sincerely, Ashley.

I will never trust this company.
My story resembles every other story posted on this site.
I ordered several plants in May (order # 489606) with the expected shipping in last week of May. Which seemed somewhat late, but, possibly, acceptable. My order was shipped on June 16. By that time it was too late to buy plants from other sources and it was too late to plant them anyway. I have no complaints regarding the quality of the plants, however, the squash pant never took off. Was it because of the late planting? I don't know. However, it was extremely disturbing to listen to the statement by the company owner on Youtube, where he described their own troubles. I can understand and I can forgive, but I cannot understand why it was not communicated to us, so that we could go with plan B. Why even now there is no clear communication channel for the customers. The email form they provide on their Web site is a joke, because they never replied to the previous emails, and the phone # is gone.
What a disappontment!

Hello Alexander, I am truly sorry for the experience you had with us this year and for the lack of communication from us. We tried our hardest to make sure every customer was informed of our delayed shipping. We sent out multiple emails to all of our customers who had pending orders, explaining that we were roughly 2 weeks behind in shipping. We stopped using our old email system and started using this new ticketing system to be more efficient and get back to customers in a timely manner. It has been working very well, we have been able to get back to customers within 48 hours (we are off on the weekends). If you need anything regarding your order. please submit a ticket and we would be happy to help. Sincerely, Ashley.

Customer Service came thru
I placed a large order, my first one. I live in a very rural area and have to travel over 150 miles for plants so finding GrowJoy was great. Yes, I was impacted by the problems Joe expressed in the video. BUT the packages are ingenious and no damage. Yes, some of my plants were in poor shape, most of them made it and are now thriving. Yes, it took a lot of time to hear back about a refund. I emailed 3 times then started a CS ticket and was promptly contacted and a refund has been promised. So I a nutshell I am thrilled with this company & products. Problems happen, that's how we learn. Its how you handle them that's the measure of a person & company. Don't trash them online if YOU haven't done your due diligence. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. They aren't in business to screw people over, that takes way more work than doing a great job! I will be placing more orders in the future.

Horrible
Horrible. $25 per plant. Bought 4 Clematis. Came almost dead. Planted and aren't going to make it. Terrible quality. Go to Home Depot. You will save money and not be shocked at the dead plants they ship to you.
Response from GrowJoyAug 13, 2021
Hello Robert, It looks like you contacted us the same day you posted this review and we added reward points to your account for the dead Clematis. If this is not the case please let us know. Sincerely, Ashley.

Horrible Non-Existent customer service
I am giving 1 star only because you have to select at least one to write a review. I ordered 2 tomato plants and 2 basil plants on May 10th. To date, I have not received them or any response to the several emails I have sent. I would like a complete refund since I can't plant these this late in the season. Very disappointing experience. I tried calling but phone number is disconnected I got tomato plants from here last year and was very happy. To be honest if someone would have just responded and explained I would have understood. Horrible non existent customer service.
Response from GrowJoyJul 14, 2021
Hello DJ Lackner. I am sorry to hear we missed your order. You will be receiving an email from us shortly on the refund. Joe

Plants DOA
Ordered five plants from the site with it being the first time doing business with them. Two showed up in good condition two showed up dead on arrival and one didn’t show at all. I was given a credit for the one that did not show but I’m not eager to use it when 50% of the plants are dead on arrival. I have emailed pictures and called the company with no response. Seems as though the best way to get a response is to post a review here.

Matthew, I am sorry to hear this. It looks like we have contacted you and processed a refund. If this is not the case, please let me know here. Joe
