GlobeInReviews of globein.com

I have not been disappointed with the quality and beauty of any of the products purchased from GlobeIn. I love receiving the little cards with stories about the Artisans and collect them all. The cards help you to connect with person/s creating all the beautiful pieces you collect.

I tried to give this company so many chances but it keeps getting worse and worse. And no, Covid is not the reason for their mess. I do not mind waiting for the products and understand the delays in getting the products into the US. My issue is with their inventory management and how they would prioritize orders that are placed through the Shop at the full price and plus open to the public over orders that were placed for months by their subscribers. An example is the same products that their subscriber ordered for their monthly boxes and add ons would not be shipped for months. However thesesame products would be available in the shop and is processed for shop orders or new customers. To me it shows an integrity issue since they keep giving their subscribers the same excuse for the delay and at the same time they are happily shipping out the same products at full price through shop orders, never mind that these shop orders are placed after the subscribers’s orders. Another issue is their disdain attitude of treating their current subscribers. It’s like after they lured you in and they don’t have to worry about customer service anymore. Their response to complaints on BBB, here or their social media page is all fluffy and nice “please contact customer service and we will address your concern.” Ya you will receive a generic email response that basically says they cannot help you.

Fair wages, supporting artesians around the globe, hand crafted goods, I was stoked about this subscription box. I decided based on price point to do a 3 box trial. Turns out I joined during a transition period. Changes to terms, billing and delivery times, and more made for a confusing start. I prepaid the the 3 boxes so I continued on through the confusion. The 1st box seemed to take a while, but I chalked it up to all the changes. The 2nd box had a different set of rules from the changes where you could skip the curations and take a credit instead to be used in the shop. The prices in the shop make zero sense based on the price of the curated box. The shops prices for those individual pieces is way more. So perhaps there isn't a curated box you like but you want an individual item. That 1 item in the shop is almost if not more then the entire box! So it's not worth taking a credit and skipping the curated box. Then there's the donate option. Each box they select a Globein affiliated community you can make a direct donation to. The problem is they a Very Vague about what the donations are for. The 2nd month of my subscription donation option was to a community in India for "Covid medical expenses" that was their only explanation. That's it. That Vagueness, coupled with the inflated priced in the shop made me worry that this subscription might not benefit the people making the products as much as I was hoping. Then several weeks before the 3rd and what was going to be my final box (I'm still waiting for it) I was charged $144.00 renewal fee! They don't wait for you to receive your 1st purchases to then make a definitive decision as to whether or not you want to continue, No No....your supposed to know before you get the original purchase. I immediately sent a message and I did get a quick reply stating that's their policy and basically to bad. I tried to reply back and was completely Ignored! Love the concept of this box but the company itself is SHADY!

Great reading about individual artisans! I do share the products with my adult children who enjoy hearing the stories from the artisan also. The first box was slower in receiving but all others have been quicker. Have only had 1 issue so far with a broken mug but all else is great!!

I have always found the products to be wonderful, colorful, and a good representation of the region and artisans from which they come from.

I love Globein! The products and service have been great, and it’s exciting to know we’re helping artisans from around the world 🌎

Globein is a promising company with a wonderful mission and beautiful, unique products from around the world. Unfortunately, due to excessive production and shipping delays the past year, I question how much longer I can rationalize maintaining my subscription. I hope that they can get things together, because I really like the products I have received and look forward to purchasing more in the future and continuing to support these talented artisans.

I have had wonderful experiences with Globe in! The products are incredible. Great quality and craftsmanship. Excellent customer service. Fast and accurate. I absolutely love Globe in!!!
