Excellent customer service
I needed to modify an auction listing after there was a bid on it and could not find any helpful information at the Help Center. Nor could I initiate a live chat. Reluctantly, expecting a wait of the ever-popular 48 hours, I sent an email to Givebutter. Astoundingly, I received a response with a usable solution within 6 minutes! Excellent customer service!!

You can get 2 winning bids, and one is chosen to win.
I find their bidding process very irregular. They accept multitple bids with the same price... and have some algorithm to decide who wins.

Hi John, thanks for sharing this. We can definitely understand how seeing two bids at the same amount could be confusing! For auctions using automated bidding, if two bidders enter the same maximum bid, the bidder who entered that amount first will be the winner. The bidding method itself is also selected by the organization running the auction. We hope that helps clear things up a bit! Watch out for that automatic tip! They try to hide it.
The people who like this company are the non-profits using it to raise money. The donor experience is not as nice. There is an unexpected automatic 15% tip (with a fine-print opt out) on top of the 3% fee. They show the 3% fee up front, but don't show the 15% tip until AFTER you have entered your address, email and credit card info. There is a class action lawsuit under way.

Organizations also have flexibility over how tipping appears on their campaigns, including the option to customize the tipping experience or remove the option from their checkout altogether, depending on what works best for their community. Give Butter - best fundraising platform
Give Butter has been a great switch from our prior fundraising platform. It's easier to use than our previous one, and the support is outstanding. Extra incentives like Give Butter's matching funds programs help us even more!
