They lie when they say tip is optional
They lie when they say tip is optional. Was unable to make transaction without agreeing to a $75 tip for a $500 transaction. They also do not welcome feedback.

Optional tips help us keep our fundraising tools free for nonprofits and organizations. Organizations can also choose to turn off tipping and use our platform fee model instead. Easy to use
Easy to use, but their tipping mechanism is deceptive. It doesn’t show the total until after payment has been made and it’s too late for consumers to change the amount. They need to update this to be more transparent.

$45.28 in "tips and fees" on $250 donation
Watch the fine print. The only good news is if you watch really closely and read the fine print, you can decrease the tip, and click to remove the processing fee. But I wasted 30 mins of my life trying to figure out if the tips and fees would go to the nonprofit (would my $250 gift earn them $295) or would the $45 go to Givebutter. It goes to Givebutter. Spoiler: it goes to Givebutter. I don't want to give $45 to forprofit firm, I would rather give $45 to a different nonprofit. The site is super confusing, and I am a webmaster. I was on my laptop, can't imagine how easy to miss the opt out options on a phone. Super unimpressed with this platform, and planning to bring a hard copy check to the silent auction for the charity event just to avoid dealing with the Givebutter platform ever again.

Poor support makes platform worthless
Although the concept of the platform and most of the functionality is stellar, the abysmal support makes it worthless. there is no quick way to resolve anything and the support staff best is to give you a link which you probably already read. i have wasted countless hours with horrible, unknowledgeable support staff. Buyer Beware!

No Customer Service Support
A donor has provided a contribution of $590; however, only $500 has been documented. I am currently experiencing difficulties in withdrawing the funds to the previous account, as the attempts are consistently failing. I reached out to customer support via email several days ago, but have yet to receive a response. Therefore, I will be exploring alternative platforms for my outreach ministry.

This service is challenging for end users
This service is very difficult for folks (especially people not native to apps) looking to bid on silent auction prizes.The teeny tiny arrow pointing towards more items to bid on, makes it easy to miss lots of items. We ended up making a 17 page tutorial on how to use Givebutter (which of coursse no one is going to read at an event, or even prior). You shouldn't need a PHD or work so hard to make a donation. Also, the "tip" is a bit deceiving.

the auction acts like a…NOT auction!
the auction acts like a fundraiser-there is no minimum bid, no indication of where the bidding is, or an end date for the auction. Frustrating.

difficult to determine which entries were transferred into the bank
my boss transferred money from Givebutter to our bank, but I have no report as to which exact funds were transferred, so I can't reconcile with QuickBooks because I don't know how the money is broken out. When I transfer with PayPal, I can see what was transferred and enter it into my QuickBooks. Is there such a report with Givebutter that I am not aware of?
