I am new to learning how Give Butter works so I always seem to have questions. Each and every time I reach out to the support team, they respond quickly and help to resolve my issue. I am grateful that Give Butter has such a knowledgeable and responsive support team.

The Support team at Givebutter and the platform itself helps me sleep better, knowing that I have in good and SAFE hands!
The online chat support was extremely kind, patient, and reassuring to me in naiveté. I so happy I am working with GiveButter and the support team they offer!!! I feel safe and protected. I sleep better because of it!

Very poor onboarding process
We have found the onboarding process to be extraordinarily difficult, and costly. We have spent countless hours, and significant dollars, trying to migrate our recurring plans. Over three months in, we are still working through bugs like duplicate charges and some plans not activating due to supposed issues with the bank/card issuer, even though those payments always processed perfectly fine with our previous vendors, Zoho and Bloomerang. Their standard response when we have raised a concern is to deflect to us, or to a third party, rather than take responsibility for the problem. They did refund us for our first year subscription cost, but only after a lot of complaining and jumping through hoops. The system itself is fairly easy to use, but we found the Quickbooks integration to be extraordinarily difficult, with very little support, so we had to enlist our accountant who spent six hours trying to figure it out (and it still might not be working properly). If you are a startup without many recurring plans or integrations it could be a could solution for you, but otherwise we can't recommend it.

scammy service
No transaction history or way to protect payment info- a transaction went through months after I cancelled a recurring donation. Customer service acknowledged that it was cancelled (I repeated the cancellation) and said they can't remove my payment info. So there's no security for your financial info and customer service shrugs it off.

Hi Mich, thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re really sorry for the frustration this caused. We definitely understand how concerning an unexpected recurring charge can feel. While Givebutter appears on donation receipts as the payment processor, donations are sent directly to the organization you supported. We’re also unable to remove records of completed transactions for compliance and security reasons. That said, if a recurring donation was successfully canceled, it should no longer continue charging moving forward. Since we’re unable to locate your account from the information included in the review, we’d really appreciate if you could reconnect with our support team using the email address tied to the donation so we can take another look into this and help clarify what happened.

I believe this company is a disgrace…
I believe this company is a disgrace for scamming people. I donated to a food pantry in January and now they tell me that I opted for quarterly. They give out email addresses that bounce back. They promote a free service to 501c3 and charge donators over 10% in fees, which is not disclose until you get billed. Will never donate to any one using their platform again.
