Bought a 2017 Silverado and a couple months after purchasing it I had a really hard shift issue with my transmission. I found GM was aware of these issues but the dealers were telling me no check engine light no issues. I’ve had it looked at 3 times and last time they replaced the transmission temperature sensor and the truck wasn’t showing a code. They replaced something that didn’t need replaced to try and avoid me so they wouldn’t have to replace transmission. Warranty has expired and now they want nothing to do with me. GM has really let their loyal customers down and my next vehicle won’t be a GM product.

2015 Chevy Equinox Headache
I bought my 2015 Chevy Equinox late in 2014 from the dealer. I have been the sole owner and have had the majority of my maintenance and service work performed by the dealer. My car has never been in an accident. On March16, 2022 I took my Equinox with 105,000 miles to the dealership to diagnose a whining noise. They assured me it was coming from my front two wheel hubs, but after replacing them, the noise remained unchanged and they told me my transfer case needs to be replaced, and it’s $3500. Then they tell me the part is not available. They don’t have loaners (gone with Covid, I’m told) and no one can help with rental car. I’m on my own without reliable transportation because I bought a Chevy. It’s been 7 weeks and they have no ETA and offer no assistance. The part that’s unavailable is the same one used through 2017 models. There’s no consumer protection. I have tried reaching out to customer service, even have a case number. It’s all a joke. There’s no assistance offered only frustration along with a headache.

I have purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe…
I have purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe from Holman Ford Dealership located in Turnersville, New Jersey sometimes in January of 2022. When I purchased the vehicle, it had 76,565 miles. I drove the vehicle for approximately 1000 miles when the power transmission went out and required repair/rebuilt(approximately $7600). This vehicle should not have these issues so soon. Remind you, I spent $43000 to make this purchase and I was very excited to enjoy your product. Unfortunately, this issue arose, and my life turned upside down. I was obligated to use public transportation and taxies to move around, get to work and get my three kids to school. I am sure you understand the frustration and the inconvenience I had to face. I have contacted Chevy and GM customer services to seek help with negative results. I am writing this letter with hope to seek your assistance.
I feel like I do not deserve to be treated in this manner and having to suffer financially, nor I wish this bad experience to happen to anyone else. I am not asking for hand out form GM , rather any assistance to make this situation a better experience. Chevrolet product have been around for decades and having to go through this made me a bit disappointed. I wanted to thank you in advance for taking the time to assess this matter. All the best

GM custom service is pathetic
First off, GM's customer service is a complete joke. We've been trying to resolve our lemon of a vehicle for 8 months now. We've had at least 3 different customer service representatives that have no clue what's going on so we've had to tell our story over and over. It's many days between them calling or answering emails if they even answer at all. Then you get assigned a different person, so the process basically starts from scratch again. Some of them have been extremely rude and not at all compassionate so it's hilarious when we get emails that say customer service is important to them. That's an outright lie. If they did care about customer satisfaction they'd start by not developing inferior products that don't last. It's comical how their slogan is "find new roads" and their commercials show pickups driving up mountains. The only new roads their High County pickups are capable of driving on are pavement. Our "infotainment" center died literally within the first 20 miles of driving it off the lot. Then it was the transmission control module. Before 5000 miles we were already replacing parts that the gravel on our roads had destroyed....Not covered by warranty. Yeah those exposed wires to the magnet ride control shocks, what an idiotic design. Who makes a 4x4 diesel pickup that can't survive more that 5000 miles on a gravel road.... Yup. It's GM. They're "princess" trucks that are only meant for a Sunday drive on a black top highway and even then they're an electrical nightmare. The last representative said "it's not our problem" and argued with my wife that our pickup is not a lemon. So my wife asked the simple question of "How many other vehicle are having problems like ours?" Of course their answer was that we're the only one having issues with gravel and things not lasting. Is that not the definition of a lemon? One instance of a vehicle having all sorts of problems? Personally I think it's an outright lie that they're not having problems. Inferior design by some team of engineers that have either no clue what they're designing.. Or they just don't care. Or perhaps it's that their quality control people just don't care. Anyway, the last representative we talked to said it was up to our local dealership to figure out something for us so that's where we're at. We have a $70,000 vehicle that we don't even dare drive because something else is just gonna go wrong with it. It's very sad that GM puts out garbage vehicles and then doesn't stand behind them and just simply passes it on to the local dealers, the poor people who work hard to sell their junk. I've owned nothing but GM products for the last 25 years but if our local dealership doesn't come up with an acceptable solution we will never be a customer of GM's again and will make sure our family of GM vehicle owners will look elsewhere too. So congratulations GM, you've gave us the run around long enough that we've finally given up.

Side sensors and associated hardness…
Side sensors and associated hardness corrosion on a Cadillac XTS 2014. Totally unacceptable especially for a car driven in an area without rain and generally without moisture. The bill to replace them come up to about $2K. DO NOT BUY JUNK GM CARS. This is just the most recent problem I have. Shame on the company and their management for such poor quality. No wonder bankruptcy is looming.

2020 Silverado lot of problems beware don’t buy it’s 1 year old and it’s been in the shop just about every month for major problems now it’s the def and the dealership told me 6 to 8 months before I get it fixs so it would sit for all that time. GM hate there customers this is the 2nd truck and the first one was even worse I traded it in at 4800 miles was in the dealership 3 time in 20 days and GM said they send us ck for the towing 8 months late still no ck!

Horrific customer service and deadly recalls
I bought a used 2015 Chevy Silverado that I ended up finding out had a recall on a Takata airbag that is, essentially, a shrapnel grenade. In the event of deployment the airbag will launch shrapnel into the cab and potentially cause death or bodily harm to the occupants.
A little background info...Takata was fined into bankruptcy for distributing faulty airbags that ended up murdering/maiming occupants of the vehicles they were installed in. GM now has to foot the bill for the recall. Due to the high cost AND with the knowledge of the deaths and injuries the airbags caused, GM tried to get out of replacing the airbags stating "We believe a recall of these vehicles is not warranted based on the factual and scientific record," so basically GM would rather its consumers die or be blinded by shrapnel than pay to fix the problem they facilitated. They only agreed to do so because the The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration forced their hand. The problem is there is no time restriction to have it done by so they have no incentive to take care of the issue anytime soon. What I find odd is the recall on those death trap airbags started in 2013 but GM was still installing them in 2015.
My complaint: After learning about all of the above information I have tried to reach out to the GM corporate number to ask if there is any liability on their end in the event of a death or injury that happens as a result of the safety issue with the recall airbag, which they refused to answer. They always "escalate" the question to someone else who will contact you in 24-48 hours, then if that person actually calls you back they will refuse to answer any questions and then "escalate" the question to someone else who will contact you in 24-48 hours. This is a never ending cycle. I have been stuck in this irritating rotation for two weeks now, in fact, I just got escalated for another 24-48 hour wait just today! The person I spoke with today (Matthew) was intentionally interrupting me and asking rhetorical questions that didn't have anything to do with why I was calling. It was clear he was not there to try to help, but rather just be immature, unprofessional and attempt to agitate.
I have been informed by multiple representatives that my question of liability DOES have an answer, and there IS a department that can answer the question BUT only in the event of an accident. It sounded so weird the first time I heard it I assumed they must be mistaken but it seems to be true, the only way GM will let you know if they will have any liability for their product murdering or maiming you or another occupant of your vehicle is if shrapnel tears through your flesh and you are lucky enough to live long enough to inquire about it.

I just heard they met with the current administration endorsing the great reset. Fascists company.
