2018 Chevy Silverado pickup 4x4, 5.3 engine. 120k miles, front speed sensor/hub assembly failure, AND the dreaded lifter noise that is likely going to need cam replacement as well. Only 7k to repair. And NO assistance from GM.
JUNK! NEVER AGAIN......GM, you officially make garbage on wheels now.

My wife purchased a 2017 Buick Casada A…
My wife purchased a 2017 Buick Casada A two door Convertable. Sept of last year had an issue with the rear window (glass) had a crack in it from a fallen limb and was taken care of by the insurance company. Since the glass was glued in from the factory . The whole roof needed replacement. The GM dealer orderd the roof and was getting the run around that the part was not avalible. They even went as far as telling us to call GM and complain. After several months , a represeitive from GM told her that she was very sorry for her inconvience and since she was not able to drive the car. Because of leakage into the electric components as we live in upstate New York. She was told that GM would make her car payments . Just have to show the payments were made to her Bank. My wife had to park her car in a garage as the dealer had no room to wait and drive her Aunts car for almost 5 months. Now the roof finally came and was installed . GM said since the vehicle was not left at the dealer they will not remburse anything. Instead will give her a extended service plan at a reduced rate. All they had to do is check odometer . Lies and diception . Dont buy a GM product.

If I could give them a 0 I definitely…
If I could give them a 0 I definitely would. I have had my 2019 Silverado for a little over a year. It has had the transmission replaced in Nov was in the shop for 2 1/2 months and now a few weeks later the motor went and needs to be replaced. Contacted GM to see about a buy back option because no customer should have to go through this and it was denied due to bumper to bumper warranty is over the mileage. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THEM!!

They don't stand by their products…
They don't stand by their products because their product doesn't last. Factory dealership only parts are discontinued with no after market parts existing. Those dealership only parts are taken out of production forcing you to upgrade to newer vehicles. Forced consumerism is their goal instead of providing a vehicle that is with you for years. They will not help you with a replacement if your truck is out of warranty or over certain mileage.

Dishonest "Heroes" Program
We travelled 6 hrs. to buy a new vehicle at Kenora GMC after agreeing on a price which included the $1000 off hero bonus because my wife is a doctor. My wife brought pay slips and 2 other froms of ID proving she is a family doc. They told us we didn't have the proper proof and were denied the discount. I've continued fighting it through gmc canada customer service for 3 weeks providing 6-7 more pieces of proof only to be denied again. Absolutely disgusting that gmc has this program and are doing everything they can to not come good on it. It will be the last GMC we purchase and will let everyone we know how GMC Canada has acted in trying to resolve this.

BUYER BE WARE!
BUYER BE WARE!
WARNING: TO ALL G/M CUSTOMERS AND FUTURE CUSTOMERS WITH “MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL” SHOCK ASBORBERS!
Regardless of what the GM Dealership staff says, most Cadillac, Tahoe, and 1500 Denali trucks DONOT HAVE STRUTS. Most have “Magnet Ride Control” systems that are modified shock absorbers.
Ask your dealer for the part number of your Magnet Ride Control shock absorber. The box states “Shock Absorber”. The manufacturer of these shock absorbers indicates they last between 37,000 to 50,000+ miles before they start to leak. When they leak you have to replace them.
Dealerships have charged $2,500 to replace the front shocks and $2,000 to replace the rear shocks. After 50,000 your GM warranty doesn’t cover the replacement. Some dealerships will. If they do, you’re lucky. READ your warranty carefully. Most will say “Struts” are covered, shocks are not. Ninety-five percent of after-market warranties will not cover the replacement of these shocks. By the way, the cost to replace regular front shock absorbers is about $300.
The advantage of these $2,500 shocks is they provide a better ride than the regular shocks. They actually do. Problem is: Are you willing to replace the expensive shocks with your own money. If you are great; enjoy your comfortable ride. You may want to start saving to pay for the replacements now. If not, look for a vehicle that has regular shocks.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Oil Leak
I purchased a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2019 brand new from this dealer. now the truck has only 35,000 miles and it has a COOLING LINE OIL LEAK. I took it to the dealer to find the problem, and they have stated that the cooling line hose is leaking oil and needs to be replaced. GM Corporate refuses to help me out and stating it is out of warranty, although my vehicle is only 35,000 miles. Furthermore, there is a recall addresses that exact problem, its called "Customer Satisfaction Program N212326940" and it is specifically for Silverado 2019 like mine, that states for a problem of a cooling line oil leak. When I stated it to the GM and the dealer, they refuse to help me out and state the my VIN for my vehicle is not listed as one of the effected vehicles. it is clearly that my vehicle has exact same problem. the repair cost is around $700 with parts and labor, and it is not right for me to pay for a clear problem that is a quality and manufacturing known issue. The vehicle from the beginning had lots of issues, some as bad as "Brakes failure alert" when vehicle had only 25000 miles. GM refuses to take responsibility for its poor quality manufacturing and parts and will not help out. Horrible experience and I will never buy a GM Vehicle again, not because of the problem, but because of their lack of ability to do something about a know problem AND REFUSAL OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY.

427 Corvette…Will not stand behind their product
Purchased new in 2013 a 427 Corvette convertible. Had had minor issues that were all taken care of under warranty. Last Friday night 10/2/2022 I was sitting at a stop light and the engine failed. I had the car towed to Chevrolet with only 44,000 miles on the vehicle. I drive this car less than 5000 miles per year and it is garage kept. Chevrolet informed me that the valve spring on the number eight cylinder failed and subsequently caused damage to the intake and injector and all had to be replaced at a cost of over $1800. I brought up that this vehicle only has 44,000 miles on the odometer and inquired to General Motors corporation if they would stand behind their flagship vehicle and help with some of the repairs since it has been well documented that valve springs have been known to fail on these motors. I was told by General Motors corporation that since the vehicle is a 2013 they will not warrantee any work or help me in anyway due to the age of the vehicle. They refused to talk about the low mileage and condition of the vehicle and would only state that I am out of luck due to the age of the vehicle. I was currently in the market to buy a new truck from Chevrolet and now I will walk away from General Motors for not standing behind their flagship product. I was not asking for a complete warranty repair, I even offered to pay labor if Chevy would pay for the parts. And they still refused and told me it is not their concern and that they have reached their decision. Thank you General Motors corporation for completely souring me, a lifelong Chevrolet purchaser and owner of nine Corvettes on purchasing any of your products in the future. General Motors simply does not care! Hello Ford, Dodge and Toyota.
