I feel it necessary to voice my anger and disgust with your service organization. I actually thought you were being nice by telling me that it wouldn’t cost anything to have somebody just look to see what was wrong with my oven. It turns out that my oven needed a new pilot igniter that should have cost $30 yet it cost more than double that. The labor to replace that part cost $180. With tax included this whole thing cost $280. Imagine if I had been charged just for the service call as well, it probably would’ve cost me $480.I find this reprehensible. If I could give you zero stars, I would. Shame on you.

I recently had a major issue.
I recently had a major issue with my 3 1/2 year old range, and never thought I would need service on my gas range at such a young age, so opted out of a service contract. When my problem occurred I contacted your office, then filed a complaint with BBB. Within a day of filing my complaint, management reached out to me and made me a very affordable option. He was by my side every step of the way, and I just received my new range today. HE has reinstated the faith I had in GE appliances. Fingers crossed I will have this new range for many years, just the way they used to be built. Thank you.

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with GE Appliances' repair service from start to finish.
I chose to have my appliances serviced directly through the manufacturer because I believed it would be the most reliable option. Unfortunately, the entire experience was frustrating due to poor communication, lack of transparency, and unprofessional service.
The technician's attitude was disappointing. He was dismissive, rude, and seemed reluctant to perform the repair. After he completed the work, the dryer was still making the same loud noise that I had called about. When I asked if there was anything else that could be done, he told me that it was a small space and he didn't have much room to work. I immediately offered to move anything out of the way so he would have more space, but he responded abruptly that it was "fine." Throughout the visit, he spent time on his phone speaking loudly while working and repeatedly complained about how dirty it was behind the dryer. He also initially said he wasn't going to fix part of the issue because the appliances were being used in a business and were not commercial units. Rather than offering solutions, it felt like he was looking for reasons not to continue. He eventually moved the appliances himself, but only after making it clear that he didn't want to.
The billing process was just as frustrating. Before the repairs were completed, I was not provided with the full costs or itemized invoices, so I never had the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether repairing the appliances was worthwhile. After the repairs were completed and payments had already been made, I was informed that I owed an additional $529.41.
When I questioned the charges because the paperwork I had didn't add up, I had to repeatedly request a breakdown of the costs. The company eventually admitted that it was human error on their part that the invoices and pricing details were not provided before the work was completed. While I appreciate the apology, that acknowledgment came after the repairs had already been done, leaving me without the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to proceed based on the actual total cost.
The biggest issue wasn't simply the price—it was the lack of transparency. Customers should know the full cost of a repair before authorizing the work, not after it has already been completed. They also rescheduled the technician to come and repair the machines a few times, which took 3 weeks for the machines to get repaired, which is not ideal for a business.
Overall, this was one of the worst service experiences I've had. Between the technician's attitude, the poor communication, and the billing process, I have lost confidence in GE Appliances' repair service and would not recommend it.

Frig sucks
Just got a GE suite of appliances, Motherboard on the frig lasted less than 60 days. Backorder on replacement part is 3 weeks plus. Dishwasher is good. Very quiet. Microwave is complicated for simple tasks...... but I would not go GE if I could turn back time.

GE Monogram Refrigerator Lemon with Design Bug
Do not buy the GE Monogram ZIS480NNII. This unit has been an absolute nightmare for a luxury appliance. We had nothing but problems with our original refrigerator, which had to be replaced in February 2022.
The brand-new second model developed the exact same problem. The GE technicians openly admitted that this issue is a known "design bug" inherent to this specific model line. GE issued an official factory repair kit to solve the design flaw, but the kit does not work.
When cooling, the refrigerator continues to make a loud, disruptive noise that fills our entire kitchen. We have endured multiple service calls and have lost the entire contents twice. For an appliance in this price tier I expected better. Avoid this model at all costs and look at other premium brands.

Well they offered a promotional rebate…
Well they offered a promotional rebate for my 3000.00 dollar appliance of 300.00. The amount of time I've put into trying to receive the claim is comical at this point. much more then the 300.00 is worth, but out of principle I've continued to pursue the claim and they have not only made it impossible to get hold of them about this they also leave you no way to review their products or there business practices on their website. Please don’t believe the websites claim they get 5 stars in reviews. It’s really all a scam.

GE Appliances has been a huge disappointment …
GE Appliances has been a huge disappointment. Our upright freezer was only three months old when it stopped working. It’s now been two months since we reported the problem, and we still don’t have a resolution.
GE has refused to replace the freezer, and every appliance service company they’ve sent out has told us they don’t perform sealed-system or compressor repairs. As a result, nothing has been fixed, and we’re left with a freezer that’s still unusable.
A product that fails this quickly under warranty should be replaced, not leave customers stuck in an endless cycle of service calls with no solution. Based on our experience, GE Appliances has shown little concern for resolving the issue or standing behind its warranty. It’s frustrating to feel like, once they’ve made the sale, the customer is left to deal with the consequences.
I expected better customer service and better support from a company of this size.

My non-cooling GE Energy Star Top…
My non-cooling GE Energy Star Top Freezing Refrigerator was not cooling. I called Home Depot(where it was purchased) for service. They sent a serviceman from Rockville Appliance. He was most courteous AND knowledgeable. He explained what he did in terms I could understand and fixed the problem. No poking around, no rushing. Then he checked back to see if it was working. Impressive!!
