Awful repair service on GE washing machine. I utilized GE APPLIANCES (FL- 07) at 888-664-8402 and the technician diagnosed the problem as a water valve issue... so they ordered the part. It took two days for the part to arrive but two weeks for them to return to replace the part. After the part was replaced, which took all of five minutes, I washed my first load and water began to leak from the back of the washing machine and flooded my laundry room. I contacted GE to have the tech return and they stated that I would be responsible for any/all charges associated with a return visit. They are criminals, incompetent (technicians and customer service representatives, as well as management). Stay clear of this company.

Obnoxiously noisy washer
My elderly disabled mother purchased a new washer/dryer this past week. The washer has the loudest most annoying sound when it is in agitator mode! Obnoxious to say the least.
I wrote a review on GE's website on her behalf, as she is legally blind, and they suggested I "listen" to the sounds it makes. I did listen and it is the same sound, and it's very loud. Wish I knew this before she purchased it and had it installed. HUGE disappointment, to say the least!

Completely inferior products, 1 year lifespan
11 month old dryer won't turn on or show any signs of power. call out warranty repair, wait a week. He fixes it, it works for 10 minutes, breaks the next day. Wait 2 weeks for another warranty repair, then they call me day of to reschedule. Unit is a complete hunk of junk, I will never buy GE ever again.

Had my dishwasher repaired under…
Had my dishwasher repaired under warranty 4 times and is now broken again. GE is only offering me to pay $115.00 to send someone out and repair this lemon once again. I will not purchase another GE product ever. Why would I have it fixed 4 times for the same issues?

If Only There Were a Zero Stars Rating...
My new french door refrigerator freezer motor sounded odd from the get-go, and completely stopped cooling 4 months after being placed in service. The refrigerator came with a standard Magnuson-Moss repair-or-replace warranty. Here's where things got ugly. I got onto a customer service do loop immediately on contacting GE, in that the website asked for my zip code and then said I need to call GE, and the customer service ARU would not do anything other than text me the website address. When I finally reached a person, she acknowledged my "urgent" (her word) situation and passed me to a customer "advocate," who turned out to be nothing but the first in a long line of recorded messages and unhelpful GE employees I reached after long, long, long waits on hold. This advocate advised that GE had no one to help me in my area (house is in a small town). I naively thought this meant they would have to locate a service provider and would actually do so, because honorable people and companies do what they say they will do, particularly when they say it in writing. Over the next two weeks and countless telephone calls (initiated by me), GE sending someone to the wrong address in the wrong town, GE advising me two different times of companies who would be handling the service call who had never heard from GE and who did not service GE appliances at all, GE finally admitted that it could not service my appliance and had no intention of trying or of replacing my appliance. So, two weeks wasted, with no refrigerator over the holiday season, and I was left with a dead refrigerator and to my own devices for solving the problem. It would have been possible to send a repair person from a nearby town, although that would have meant paying mileage, or to simply ship a new refrigerator, so the obvious conclusion is that GE does not honor its written warranties if it determines that to be inconvenient and expensive. I contacted GE executives directly and got the purchase price less delivery charges reimbursed. Do not do business with this company.

Horrible Customer Service
Purchased a GE Profile Built-in Double Oven, PTD7000SN3SS, November 22nd. On December 22nd I performed a 3hr self-clean (the shortest time interval allowed) on the upper oven. Halfway through the cycle the display went blank. Since then, the display/control panel remained blank and the upper oven remained locked. On December 23rd, I called the retailer. Although only one month old, they said I needed to get a return authorization from GE. I immediately called GE, received a recording saying they were closed for the holidays and would be available December 27th. I called on December 27th and they set up an appointment with their 3rd party warrantee repair company for December 28th. On the afternoon of December 28th the repair company called and said there was no way they could come that day and the earliest appointment was January 9th. The repairman came on January 9th to "evaluate" the oven. He thought it needed a new main circuit board as well as a new display circuit board...basically ALL the electronics. He also insinuated I was stupid for even trying to run the self-clean function. I asked and he agreed to call me back the next day to inform me when the parts would come in. He didn't. I called their office four times over three days, until they finally informed me the parts were on backorder and the earliest they would arrive was mid-February but probably later. Called GE's Customer Relations and gave them the information from the repair company. They gave me a case number and said they would email me with an answer within 24-48 hours. It's now 5-days later and no email. I'd had it with GE. I went back to the retailer and talked to a supervisor. I explained the situation and detailed my attempts to work through GE. Thankfully, he understood and arranged for a replacement oven. Until it broke, we liked the oven. We have other GE Profile appliances we also like. Perhaps the oven malfunction was a one-off problem. However, their customer service was abysmal, and they failed miserably. Likewise, their designated authorized warrantee repair company was equally pathetic. The only person in the whole process who did the right thing was the retail supervisor where I bought the oven. I won't be buying GE appliances in the future.

Hope you have plenty of time to kill.
Ordered a washer and dryer in early November. Not a special order. They gave a delivery date of 12/21 which seemed excessive, but what choice do you get?
Anyways, I made several attempts to contact them to see if the appliances might arrive early but rarely got through and got the answer “it will get there when it gets there”. Now the night before it arrived I was supposed to get a call letting me know what time window to expect it but as of now, no call. I called the delivery support number who told me they have no updates. So I guess it MIGHT arrive tomorrow. Guess we will see.
