Horrible company and customer service. Don’t buy from them. Would not recommend purchasing anything well definitely not something with much money. The normal warranty you pay for like for other companies is not the same. Really it’s a bs reimbursement, meaning on top of what you’ve already paid for. They fight you on immediately sending a replacement, and on sending a technician. In the end to say buy another one the same value then we would send you a refund. After weeks of waiting for the service tech to come out today. He was supposed to be here between 8-12pm by 12:53 called and the tech lied and said they couldn’t reach us. Yet we been here a up all morning. Prime example had this air conditioner brand new and not even a year yet. Which I only used for a month last year. Go to cut on now and it’s defected keeps beeping and clicking off. Mind you now I’m finding out bad model and a lot of customers had the same issue. Yet they doing anything not to service it or replace. Horrible customer service bedside manner and just want your money!

After years of reliable service from my 1974 laundry pair from the company that used to run those funny TV ads with the "lonely repairman," I decided in 2019 to renovate my laundry room including the appliances. I liked the new color and design of the top-of-line GE laundry pair, so I bought them. On June 16, 2023, the electronically controlled dryer stopped running. Using the GE app on my phone, I set up a service call and was given a service date of June 26, 2023. A day later, I got a phone call from GE stating that service would actually not be available until July 5, 2023. Fed up, on June 20, I called a local, non-GE appliance repair service and got an appointment for the next day. The repairman came on time and determined that the "belt" was broken, which he handed to me. It was about as thin as packing twine. I was dumbfounded. I told the repairman I guessed I'd see him again in 4 years to replace the flimsy belt. So here's what you can learn from my experience. GE isn't the company it used to be; it is only a printed logo or metal emblem. Quality has been thrown out the window in favor of profitability to Haier, the new owner of this brand. GE appliance breakdowns are so numerous, authorized GE Service won't get to you for 3 weeks. Or ... you could buy your appliances from a company that actually makes their products with pride and integrity.

We purchased a GE Gas stove and while under warranty it stopped working. No clock, no ability to turn on anything with the control panel. I contacted GE and they said they would send someone to repair it. The following week, when I had not heard from them, I called again was told they would not be sending a repair person because they could not find one in our area. We do not live in outer Mongolia; we live in Vermont. They could not find a repairman. I got on the phone and started the search. I got a referral from our local repair company because one needs a special license to repair a gas stove. I made an appointment for him to come out. GE is supposed to pay the labor costs and supply parts. Repairman came and I paid him for the diagnostics. I sent the bill and parts needed to GE. GE contacted me and said they needed the exact part numbers. The repairman did not have access to repair parts for this stove. GE has the model number and serial number for the stove; they also run the parts department, but they would not risk ordering the parts. I called GE parts and a kind woman named Brenda gave me the part numbers. I sent the part numbers to Kevin at GE. By now I felt like I had a full time job at GE. They shipped the parts FedEx Smartpost -- US mail. I am still waiting to be reimbursed the $400 I paid for the repair. They said I will be asked to review the service. I won't do another thing for them until I get reimbursed. BTW, GE is no longer an American company; it is Haier, a Chinese company. Enough said.

Horrible service and product they don’t care I bought a gorgeous expensive monogram fridge had for a few months constantly breaking and not cooling threw away 100s $ worth of food they send technicians they don’t fix the problem they won’t replace it even though tech has been by me 5 diff times over last two months , had to take off work and spent numerous hours on the phone and emails trying to get someone to fix the fridge especially because I have warranty and it’s a brand new fridge I would run so quick from this company and products

Purchased from Home Depot .1 week after delivery it started dropping screws out . Come to find out the dryer had been dropped although the box was in good shape, service tech came out and order a top for it. he had to straighten out some of the sheet metal with a hammer to be able to put the top on. 8 months later he returned to repair a electrical wire which caused the dryer to stop heating. he spliced a wire instead of replacing the harness and installed another heating element. he also showed me that the drum was warped. We purchased GE because we thought they would take care of the customer. I have requested a replacement of the dryer which We are still waiting on instead of just patching it up. We were upgrading our appliances starting with the washer and dryer. I don't think we will replace the other appliances with GE. Ge don't take care of the customer like they should. With the Chassie warped I don't see this dryer lasting at all. My Wife is afraid to use it. She is afraid it is going to catch the dryer and the house on fire. GE make this right. We didn't buy a used dryer we want a new one that we paid for!!! If only there were 0 stars Well, It seems that all the emails didn't make a difference to the customer service.so on 05/23/23 I found and sent an email to the CEO of GE. I was not expecting a response for a few days but on 05/24/23 one of assistance to the CEO called me. he let me know That they had looked over my complaint and to be expecting a new dryer within the next week, so I do have to raise the star level a bit. They did take care of the situation. Sometimes ya just gotta climb the ladder Huh. so on 06/01/23 a new dryer was received by Myself, and things were looking good. Troy from GE called me on 03/02/23 to see if the delivery had gone as expected. I am more at ease that they do care better of their customers. so I raised the stars to 4. Thanks to Troy at GE has saved a customer. it's just a shame that I had to get the CEOs office before something was done about this. I will raise to 5 stars when I see that the new dryer last at least a year without failing. Thank you, Troy, for your help.

I purchased a window air conditioner two years ago. The unit no longer blows cold air. Had a GE technician diagnosed the unit, which there was nothing can be done to repair it. This unit cost about four hundred dollars. It is just a shame these companies do not care about the quality of their products.

We purchased 3 “high end” GE appliances for a kitchen remodel and 2 were delivered defective. One door on the wall oven is misaligned and the seal on the dishwasher is defective. The dealer’s service tech came out and said he frequently sees the misaligned oven door, it’s a complex repair and he couldn’t guarantee to resolve the problem so I contacted GE and they’ve been a nightmare to deal with. Stuck with no oven or dishwasher so beware GE!

GE microwave quit after 5 months. GE won’t honor warranty. I even have original receipt.
