I purchased 4 kitchen, and 2 laundry appliances for my newly built house. Mostly Profile level. Within 6 months the washer needed repair. Here's where I felt the one star rating is warranted. I live in the second largest city in Washington State. GE has ONE authorized service company in my area. ONE!!!!!! It's such a small, inexperienced company they don't even show up on a simple Google search. Bodwell got me a service appointment two days from my call. The company called the next day stating it would be weeks before the soonest appointment available. The service tech proudly stated his 3 (THREE) years of experience! He also told me that all new appliances are crap. First trip: everything checks out fine. "I ran code blah blah, and blah". You need a drain pump. The parts came in the next week, two more weeks to get back on the schedule. "Well, the part doesn't work. I need to get another.". Another long wait. Turns out it was the main control board which was the codes he checked the first time. So, it was misdiagnosed by a very inexperienced tech offering lots of meaningless numbers, and many excuses. Now the washer squeaks during agitation, and spinning. Back on the long wait list. I have voiced my concern with this being the only company in my area. I would not recommend purchasing a GE appliance in my area as the service available is sub par. Spokane WA.

GE Appliances Deserves a Zero Star!! Washer is Horrible!! Makes Loud Knocking Sounds! Sounds like Construction in my Basement! I was told by 4-5 of their Techs that, that’s Normal 👀!! Can’t Believe that’s Normal, that is Defective!! Do Not Buy Any Appliances (Washers) from them at All!! I am in a Year Warranty, but they will Not Replace it, due to it Not Being Broke, “in their words”!!

I bought a fridge and dishwasher in 2016 and they have been terrible. Dishwasher eventually gave up and died after about 8 years, fridge parts have been breaking ever since I got it. My mom's Amana lasted at least 20 years with nothing breaking. Customer service replaced drawers and shelves until they didn't, now the same parts that will break within two years are priced at $90 per drawer. Run, don't walk away from GE. They aren't the brand they used to be

We recently bought a new GE electric range model number JBS360DMWW. WARNING: do not buy this model. This model should be discontinued and all remaining units used for parts or scrap. The range is so much inferior to our old one that served us for 25+ years. Very flimsy everything, very few controls, poor temperature control and retention, very unfriendly timer and oven on/off buttons that need to be pressed hard to turn on/off, no hot oven indicator, no self clean mode, etc etc. Due to poor insulation and pulsing oven heating, the claim of saving electricity is ridiculous. It was impossible to see this model before the purchase, at Best Buy show rooms the explanation was that manufacturers choose what to display. So consumers can’t really know what we’re buying until actual delivery. Bottom line: it is a shame for GE to make such an appliance in 21 century

I've always had a positive view of GE appliances,so I bought a washing machine (GFW550SSN) and dryer 2 1/2 years ago. The size, look and functionality were perfect. A 1-year warranty is all that is provided. The main control just went out. For diagnosis, the part, and repair, I will be paying around the same amount as I originally paid for the machine. Buyer beware, pay for the extended warranty because their products will most likely break or better yet, buy a different brand. I know I will going forward.

Has been broken since day one customer service none! Technician visit #3 nothing 21 days later of house being violently shaken it moves at least a foot. Clothes soaking wet after an hour and a half wearing out the new dryer I bought the same day now having to go to a laundry mat to spend money i don't have because I bought this machine!! So just yeah all the blame put on someone else to get nothing resolved!

Moved in to the new development house in MA (2026). The house included brand new GE Profile appliances. -The stove did not work from the start requiring to schedule the warranty tech (took time!). The issue was related to the incorrect wiring of the whole stove. Tech took time to rewire. -The built in microwave stoped working within 4 months of use. Which required again GE tech visit, and ordering parts. It took 1.5 month for parts to arrive. Very knowledgeable Tech replaced ALL parts inside. GE has the poorest quality products and customer service. They are huge embarrassment for US!!

I had a refrigerator with a sealed system. ( five year warranty) had technician come to repair 5 different times with no success over a three month period. Probably called customer relations at least 30 times, trying to get issue resolved. Talked to a Different person every time, so it was like starting over with each call I made. They finally agreed to replace unit under warranty. Only to find out that model was discontinued. Selected another model only to find out they don’t have a delivery service in my area. So now they have decided to send a refund check. Which meant that I had to go pick out the unit of my choice which was a (Samsung). This has been the worst and most ridiculous experience I have ever had to deal with. I will never buy another G.E. Product and hope to never speak with them again. We were without a refrigerator for over 3 months, and had to take off work 5 times to meet repair man.
