Gatsby Oxford Dress Shoes Review

Gatsby Oxford Dress Shoes Review I purchased the Gatsby Oxford dress shoes with high expectations, primarily due to the allure of comfort, which is crucial given my ongoing foot issues. Initially, the shoes did not disappoint; they arrived with Dr. Scholl’s inserts, a thoughtful addition that seemed promising, though it was surprising for a product billed as high-quality. The shoes felt more like insulated, cushioned sneakers than traditional dress shoes, which was a welcome relief. However, within four months, the quality took a dramatic downturn. The heel began to separate from the sole, rendering the shoes unstable and unusable. This deterioration was disappointing, especially given the initial comfort and positive first impression. Understanding that their warranty policy only covers returns for 30 days, I reached out to the company—not to demand a refund, but to express my concerns as a customer who values quality and durability. I hoped for a sincere response that reflected some accountability or interest in product improvement. Instead, I received a dismissive offer of 30% off a new pair, which felt more like an attempt at a quick sale than a genuine attempt to remedy the situation. At nearly $50, I am understandably reluctant to invest in a second pair of shoes when the first pair fell apart so soon. Not only did the company neglect to ask for additional details or photos, but they also overlooked an opportunity to show concern for customer satisfaction. Their handling of my feedback suggests a lack of commitment to quality and durability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend these shoes. If you value a product that lasts, it would be wise to look elsewhere, as these may not provide the reliability or long-term comfort that quality footwear should.

Hi Sean, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I understand how frustrating it can be when shoes show signs of wear over time. This isn’t the experience we want for our customers. Unfortunately, our records indicate that the shoes are beyond the replacement timeframe. An alternative solution that we can recommend is taking the shoes to a local cobbler who can assess and repair the damage. Thanks for your understanding.
