Highly dissapointed with Freedom Forever Company Practiceservlly Disappointments doing business with Freedom Forever
Highly disappointed with this company. What I was told by the salesperson, turned out to be untrue regarding several things. I consistently expressed my concern regarding the need for a new roof. I told her several times that roofers had inspected my roof and said I needed a new one and because of this, it was not the right time to invest in Solar Panels, yet the sales lady continually assured me that the company would inspect the roof and if it was bad, they would not put panels on it, instead, they would offer to install a roof and add the cost to my existing loan, Else I could have one installed. She assured me and reassured me not to worry because when I got ready to put on the new roof, FF company would remove and reinstall the panels at no cost because I had an existing loan for the Solar Panels. In early November 2022, a 3rd roofer examining my roof asked pointed questions regarding the markings on my roof and the damages they saw. I realized these markings they saw had been done by the FF panel Installers. When I called to discuss the removal of the panels to install the new roof, to my surprise/shock, I was told that I had to pay a fee to have them removed and reinstalled. I challenged this and requested a copy of their roof report on my house, and this report talked about damages such as missing shingles (they even took pictures of roof damage). On Nov 12 I received an email from FF stating my request was under review. 5 months passed and I heard absolutely nothing from them. I finally called on 3/29/2023 for the status since I had not heard from them. I was informed I had to pay and that my roof was not in bad condition. So I guess FF's version of a bad roof and the roofing companies version of a bad roof are different, regardless of the damage FF found on it. Another big issue with this company is how I was ignored when I was in communication with the Electric Company in October 2023 (The panels had only been turned on a few weeks of operation) who informed me to turn them off and if I did not, they were sending a company person to my home to turn them off and I would be billed for it. Weeks earlier, FF had received a letter (I was cc'd on it ) from the electric company stating they had not given FF permission for me to turn on my panels despite the fact that FF sent me an email stating all inspections had been completed and passed and to turn on the panels. The letter told FF the reason why the panels had to be turned off yet FF never responded to the email. I kept getting cc'd on this email that was sent several times, so I called the Electric Company, then called FF Customer Service to tell them they needed to respond to the EC's email. FF never responded to the email. I called them 3 or more times regarding this issue, yet received no response or feedback. I myself had to work through the email and documents to try and figure out the complaint. I then again contacted F CS to explain to them what I determined as the problem. It was not until I analyzed THEIR problem, did they respond. THE EC said my panels had not been approved for operation WHICH WAS why THEY TOLD ME TO SHUT THEM DOWN. It took weeks to get this problem resolved due to a lack of response from FF. After the problem was rectified, FF never contacted me to inform me to turn the panels back on. This Solar Panel installation process started in May or April of 2022 and was not completed or permanently operative, until October 2022. I was told it would take 3 months. The biggest problem I have experienced with FF is their seeming lack of interest in a Customer's problem. I was told on 3/29/23 that I needed to call back if I want to receive a response to an open ticket. This was a shock for me as I have never had to do this with any other company. Not even would the Sales Rep after a few weeks answer or return calls when I called her when she was supposed to be the Liaison. Based on my experience with FF thus far, I am very concerned. Moving forward, if I should have problems with the Solar Panel system, what type of support will I get to resolve the problem(s)?
