late bumpy ride
Today was my first time flying Breeze Airlines. It is a near full 4 hour flight that turned into nearly 5 hours due to dodging storms along the way home. Not a horribly lengthy flight, yet still too long. Somehow, overnight, the departure time was lengthened by 15 minutes. Once we arrived to the airport, it was delayed again twice, to equal another 25-30 minutes. Typical, but not a good first impression! Boarding the plane became chaotic because few people could understand what the Breeze employee was saying. She seemed to want to eat the microphone when speaking into it. Once on board the flight, the attendants had to stay seated for the first hour of the 5 hour flight because it was too bumpy. Once through the turbulence, they got up to serve drinks. Your choice was water or ice water. Anything else, they charged for. No snacks were handed out. I asked one of the attendants if they had a blanket because my husband was cold, but really wanted to rest his head on it while he tried to sleep. They had no blankets of any sort, so they said. There were several young babies on the flight who were quite vocal about their being uncomfortable! I was taken aback when one of the flight attendants shouted fairly loudly ‘Give ‘em a bottle! Give ‘em a pacifier! Give ‘em a boob!’ That was rude & unethical as well as uncalled for! It is definitely not her place to be instructing passengers on how to quiet their kids who have no control over how they feel about flying. It was not the best of flights home from vacation…. But still happy to be back home and in my own bed!!!
