Extended stay America Sterling Heights Unsanitary. Absolutely disgusting. During check-in, had to wait for my room to be "cleaned", and let me tell you-they do not clean here.I found a dusty bra in the dresser, a dirty kid sock in the bed, and an old sticky capri sun under the sink. The fridge only gets to 65 degrees so all my food went bad. The floor is sticky and so gross. I had to spend money on cleaning products and deep clean the room because I did not want to get sick from this place. Im a registered nurse and my boyfriend is a building engineer. We expressed concern when the hotel staff was entering our room without permission or notice. My boyfriend called corporate and shortly after, the front desk manager Bach Nguyen informed us that we were being "evicted" from the hotel because "one minute we're nice and one minute we're not". When all we did was express that we would like to have notice before the room we were renting was entered. I have stayed at many a hotel in my life, and have never experienced such a ghetto sloppy establishment. ABSOLUTELY FILTHY, its actually kind of scary here.

Driving in from CANADA , we reached 2 hours early to the Mentor , OH facility . Tried to call and inform but no answer from front desk . When we reached there was no one at front desk . Finally after 25 min someone showed up , just to inform that early check not possible, and we can go drive around and return . The hallways smelled bad , in the room there were no utensils . Overall bad experience and will not recommend

Extended Stay America Suites - Indianapolis - Northwest - I-465 (9370 Waldemar Rd) Title: Unreliable and unethical. Cancelled a year-old race weekend booking 48 hours before arrival. I booked a 3-night stay at this property nearly a year in advance (June 2025) for the 2026 Indianapolis 500 weekend. Just 48 hours before my scheduled arrival on May 22, I received a cancellation notice via Booking.com, citing "construction." Let's be clear: canceling a reservation two days before one of the biggest sporting events of the year under the guise of last-minute construction is highly suspect. It is far more likely the hotel realized they could re-list the room at a massive premium to desperate, last-minute racegoers, leaving a long-term customer stranded. Securing affordable lodging for Indy 500 weekend requires planning ahead, which I did. Forcing a guest to scramble for accommodations at peak-holiday pricing because of the hotel's greed or poor management is completely unacceptable. If you are booking this hotel for a major event, be warned: your reservation means nothing if they decide they can make a quick buck off someone else at the last minute. Avoid this property. They do not honor their commitments.

I stayed at the Bensalem location. Very clean hotel. Staff during the day was very friendly. At night it was a whole other story. They were never anywhere to be found. When I did find her Melissa was the name she was either out front hanging with guests smoking or coming from guest rooms.

I booked 2 rooms ..when I get there the lady tells me I do not have rooms that because I booked it with the 800 number on the website...I showed her my conformation number and showed her I had already paid for the rooms. She said the hotel was full for me to get my money back on my own that she couldn't help me. We had to find a place 30min away from the ballfield which is why we were in Atlanta. I will never book another room with company ...I still do not have my money back

This was the most absurd and awful experience at a hotel in my life ever. I am a cancer patient that receives care at the Cleveland Clinic and I had booked a room at the extended State America independence location in Cleveland through the American Cancer Society and the day I was to check check in. I was running late that day so I called and let them know. I was in fact coming. I was just late. Please keep my room for me. I called at 3:30 PM and again at 10:50 PM both times I was told yes ma’am your room is available and there’s no fear of us running out of rooms. We have plenty and your room will be ready for you when you arrive. So at approximately just after midnight, we arrive at the extended stay and I go in to check in. There’s no available rooms. And to top it off, the clerk did not care in the slightest that I had nowhere to go and that it was their fault that I didn’t have a room and was lied to, and she did not believe it was their place to find me a room and put me up for the night. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she declined. So our call the hotline they were rude as well. They did not help me with anything. We drove around for a while until finally finding a room we could afford the next morning. I called again during business hours to see about this problem and about possible reimbursement of the room I had to pay out-of-pocket for because it was at their fault and was again told it was not possible only two later find out that I was sent an email stating that I was put on a no Rent list and told upon trying to check in previously that I could not check in due to smoking in the room previously there before. This is not true, and it could not be further from the truth. It is just a fabricated lie that they made up after they realized that they were caught up in something really terrible that they done to a sick and disabled person that is fighting cancer. They did not take accountability for anything as a matter of fact they put any accountability on everyone, but them even tried to say it was the American Cancer Society‘s fault what a joke. This place was terrible wouldn’t recommend at all. I will never stay at this place again even if they paid me too I would not if they begged me on their hands and needs to come and stay with them again never 1 million years worst experience in my life. I’ve never felt so uncared for as a human in my life

If I could give this hotel a negative star, I would. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived to check in. We weren’t given the password for the internet. The phone in our room was broken. I picked it up and something was broken inside of the phone. Went down to front desk and was told it wouldn’t be fixed until the next day (we only stayed one night. The love seat and footstools were made from pleather (not complaining about that) and there were pieces of pleather missing. The hotel smelled awful. If we didn’t spend the money to stay at the hotel, we would have driven home after the event we went to.
