During our stay at Extended Stay America in Santa Clara June 17 to July 5, San Jose located at 2131 Gold Street, San Jose 95002 adult and baby roaches in were observed in numerous quantities indicating an infestation. Management (Ekindra) was useless and late night front desk did not speak English. Claim for re-move and damages went to Broadspire claims which is playing games and red tape to reimburse nothing for moving again and laundry of roach infested clothes. Stay in your car if you have to and spend the next day looking for a decent place. DO NOT stay here for any reason...

Dishonest Staff, Refused Confirmed Booking, and Left My Family Stranded
I booked a room for my family at Extended Stay America Select Suites Detroit Farmington Hills for July 10–11 via Expedia back on May 19, and the reservation was fully confirmed. After driving 7 hours from Iowa to Michigan with my family on July 10, we arrived at the hotel only to be told by the front desk operator that they had no booking for us.
I showed him my confirmation number and proved that I had even messaged the hotel prior to leaving home. The front desk staff member was extremely rude and flatly refused to give us a room, claiming there had been a water leak and that all reservations were cancelled. He stated we were never notified because we booked through Expedia. He did not offer a single apology. Instead, he gave us the address for a nearby Red Roof motel, which turned out to be completely unsuitable for a family. As a result, we were forced to find and book another hotel at the last minute, paying steep premium rates.
To make matters worse, two of my cousins checked into this exact same Extended Stay location later that evening. The only difference? They had booked directly through the hotel website instead of Expedia. The front desk clearly lied to us and gave our room away to someone else for a higher rate.
When I called Expedia to report this, they refused to take action or even register my complaint. Both the hotel management and Expedia handled this situation with total disregard for their customers. Save yourself the stress and avoid this hotel.

Miss Valerie goes way beyond her duties…
Miss Valerie goes way beyond her duties to make sure your stay is valuable. She is a people person and she treats you as an equal or better. She stays on top of everything in the building and she make sure that everything gets done.
Unfortunately, one of our vehicles was broken into and they tried to steal it out of the parking lot. They don’t have any cameras in their parking lot, but we asked to see the camera footage from one of the cameras and was denied that Acess. We believed that the vehicle was parked right outside the door and that that camera should’ve caught something on tape and we were refused to see that they were unable to steal the vehicle, but they did break into it and steal the contents extended. Stay America needs to put cameras in their parking lot.
The room was very nice full-size fridge, two burners microwave and a larger TV screen than most motels. The staff is very helpful. The building is very clean. The elevators are clean. The halls are clean and I believe that has to do with Miss Valerie for two star Motel it should have a higher rating than that. I’ve stayed in a lot of places lately waiting for my house to be done and this place is as close to home as you can get.

Poor management
My room was clean. The facility at 455 W Baseline Rd in Mesa AZ was okay. The staff was polite and helpful except for the manager. Their policy is to only clean long term guests rooms once every two weeks. I have spoken with the manager several times and she keeps assuring me that my room will be cleaned. It's been over 3 weeks and it still has not been cleaned. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I am currently staying in one of these…
I am currently staying in one of these hotels and I have stayed before almost a couple of years ago. First of all they say they give discounts to healthcare workers and I am only seeing about $2.00 a night.. whoopeee! The rate went up for my stay in one week's time $6.00 more a night so I don't see where there is any discount. I have been here a week and the first thing when I walked in the door to check in I was greeted with hostility stating that the employee was so tired and had to get the floor mopped before checking me in. It has been all about her and every employee in this hotel since I walked in. They are complaining how tired and hot they are because they are working so hard.. please! Is ordering food and sitting behind the desk every time I am in the lobby hard work? Sitting there talking , laughing, and playing on your phone.. hard work? Smoke breaks.. hard work? Let me have a complaint as a guest and they roll their eyes. They don't understand why they look old and withered. It's not from too much work .. it's from the lifestyle they have. Fast food equals fat and smoking and laziness adds to the equation and they look me up and down at times wondering why I look in shape and my age. It's time to have my room cleaned and I already mentioned it so let's see if it happens. You have to take your own trash out already and take your used towels to the desk and ask for any supplies.. so let's see if you people can find the strength to clean my room because it's not free to be here!
Stayed on Ormond Beach Florida for 3 months March thru June 2026. The Elevator has NOT been in Service for the past TWO months solid, and worked in April about every 3-4 days. In total over the 91 day stay it was up and running for approximately 25 days!! The Staff have said before my stay, the Elevator has been breaking down for the last year or more. That there were MONTHS it didn't work. I'm a top floor person, because I'm such a light sleeper. Had I had this information, I wouldn't have booked my stay here. The building is only around 5yrs old, and in good shape, well except for the elevator. I had to hike 6 flights of stairs 5-7 times a day, with my dogs. Hauling groceries was awful! If I hadn't sent daily emails to everyone I could find on the internet, that worked for this company, they never would have volunteered to move me, down those stairs to the 1st floor! I was going across the street to the Local Church to ask for volunteers to help. I packed for a 6mo stay, so it's not a few suitcases. I also contacted News 9 in Orlando, to look into the Scam of this non-working elevator, and the shotty service it did receive. The hotel Lies on the phone when people call to make reservations. The other issue here, is a Staff member is a theif! My mail NEVER reached me! A birthday card with a $100 gift card went "missing" along with a Fleece Jacket my company sent me-also "Missing" DON'T have ANY mail sent here. Go pick it up at one of those mailbox places. The staff is New, and some not trained well. Will get different quotes from different employess for the same question.

Run Forest Run
Nastiest hotel ever. My partner planned on staying 3 months, end of May to August. He was working nearby. First day he was greeted with roaches. Employee said he had to pay extra for pest control. I believe housekeeping came once a week. He was able to get an apartment nearby. His key hardly worked & no one at the front desk after certain hours so he had to call corporate so they could have someone program his key. I visited him once, the 2nd time I went to Holiday Inn next door. Saw a woman in the parking lot who was so disgusted, she said she slept in her car. Needs to be shut down.
