Do you want a nice, pleasant moving experience? You're in the WRONG place.
This company is full of the rudest and inconsiderate customer service agents I have ever met. I booked a move between Maryland and Florida for a 1-bedroom apartment, quoted for about $2300. On June 14, at pickup, the 300 or so cubic feet I was quoted immediately turned into "oh you need 500 cubic feet and now you owe $2000 more." They pack up my items and after having a conversation with the driver, I'm informed my items are actually going back up to New Jersey (last I checked, the opposite direction of Florida) and will be stored in their warehouse until a carrier is available to take my items down the coast. NONE of that was explained to me when I booked this move or when I spoke with their "quality assurance" team. All that I was told was 1-10 days for the distance. My first available delivery date was June 16, and my items did not arrive until July 13. Between pickup and delivery, Express did not call me once. I called them every few days to try to get updates because at a minimum, they should have been able to confirm my items were in their warehouse, and they refused to confirm that fact. It was not until I said I had no other option but to complain to the DOT that they finally confirmed, yes, your items are here, will be loaded soon, and a driver will call you a day in advance of arrival. On July 13, a truck driver showed up alone and told us he couldn't find anyone to help him unload the truck so he would be doing it alone but would need help with the couch. Because of this, my partner left work for the day and helped our driver unload the truck so we could finally have our belongings after waiting for them for a month with no updates. I called Express to ask why this happened and all I was told was that there were some layoffs but the "owner" would give me a call. No call yet! Save yourself the trouble and do not book with Express Movers. My quote doubled and we had to move our own belongings at the end of it all. Mediocre service from mediocre people.
