If you are considering using Express Movers Services Inc (operating through expressmoversservices.com), RUN AWAY. This is the absolute worst, most dishonest moving group in existence. They work as predatory subcontractors for broker companies like Bright Side Moving Group, and their entire operation is designed to trap you, extort you, and subject you to pure mental torture. Our nightmare started a week before our move date. Out of nowhere, Express Movers Services called us, aggressively claiming we needed to pay extra to "save space." They threatened that if we didn't pay right then, they wouldn't take all of our luggage. Wanting things to go smoothly, we trusted them and paid the extra fee. That was our first mistake. On the actual day of pickup, they completely ignored the scheduled time and showed up late. The second they arrived, the extortion began. The moving team deliberately packed and stacked our boxes completely randomly and loosely. Why? To artificially consume space so they could claim our "cubic feet" had increased! They then demanded we pay an extra hidden charge on the spot—forcing us to pay 80% of it immediately before they would even think about driving away with our things. Once they loaded our life's belongings into their truck, their customer care phone lines completely died. They became 100% unreachable. The level of mental pressure and anxiety they put us through by completely ghosting us was unbearable. The worst part happened at delivery. They suddenly slammed us with massive "shuttle service" fees that were absolutely never mentioned anywhere in our contract. They backed us into a corner where we couldn't say no. When we told them we would find and hire our own shuttle service to save money, they threatened us. They aggressively told us they would only wait 30 minutes, and if we didn't pay them right then, they would just drive off with our things. They intentionally engineered a highly tense, panicked situation to force our hand. In the end, they took almost two times what we were originally quoted through a web of lies, sloppy stacking tricks, and last-minute hostage fees. I am so deeply annoyed, frustrated, and mentally exhausted by this company. They are manipulative scammers who weaponize your own belongings against you. Do not trust them with your move!

This is the worst moving company, they tried to overcharge me at time of pick up with no justification, they took almost 2 months to deliver my items, and stole numerous my belongings from boxes, boxes labeled fragile came broken and distroyed. On top of that I have called them more than 20 times to make a claim no one answers the phone

I did not hire Express Movers Services Inc. myself — they were assigned to me by Brightside, another dishonest moving broker. What followed was the worst moving experience of my life. Brightside quoted me $3,300 for my move from New York to Texas. Once Express Movers showed up, they immediately claimed the “space was insufficient” and raised the price to $5,800. This is a classic bait‑and‑switch tactic used by bad brokers and carriers. To make matters worse, the pickup guy pressured me for an additional $500, claiming he could “reduce my bill.” It was obvious he was pocketing the money. No paperwork, no receipt — just pure extortion. My belongings were picked up on September 1 with a promised delivery date of September 7. I didn’t receive anything until September 30 — 23 days late. No communication, no updates, no explanations from either Brightside or Express Movers. When my items finally arrived, a large portion of my plates were broken, and my 85‑inch Samsung TV was destroyed. The handling was careless, and neither company has taken responsibility for the damage. Customer service from both companies is nonexistent. Calls go unanswered, messages ignored, and no one seems to know anything about your shipment once they have your money. Express Movers Services Inc. is unprofessional, unreliable, and predatory, and Brightside is no better. If you’re planning a long‑distance move — especially from NY to TX — avoid both companies at all costs.

The worst experience ever if i could give negative stars i would in a heartbeat. First they were late for pick up date of 9/9/26 they didn't come until 2 days later and the lead crew person smelled like alcohol. Then he stated that the amount of space used was less then the quote but they don't adjust for that. Then I was told my delivery would take 5 to 7 days but here it is 10/8/26 and this driver was so rude and instantly started giving me additional charges. I was glad he spoke with some at the main office that had a better attitude. Express Moving has better people in the office than the these disrespectful delivery drivers. I will never use Brightside or Express Moving Services, Inc ever again because of the delivery driver that i had today. They hike up the charges and then threaten to gold your stuff hostage. Not to mention thw damage to my stuff. Totes that were brand new were cracked and smashed in. Just horrible, if I would have know they outsource I would have gone with a different company.

I'm very disappointed with the service. I have moved multiple times over the last 20 years. The price was increased 12 hours before delivery due to "unsafe to drive his truck to the house" and a shuttle service was needed for $1,200, this section was lined through on the original contract. We live on a normal two lane road which loops around to the main road, that any tractor trailer can drive down. The driver Antonio, changed his story when he got here that he couldn't back the truck up into the driveway, so he had to put it in the Uhaul. For the price of $1,200 it saved him 40 feet from the end of the driveway to where he parked the Uhaul, the "unsafe for him to drive the truck" was not factual. On top of that, the furniture (Bed, Chair, Table, Outdoor Chair) was not put together as agreed upon, and the trash was left behind instead of being taken care of as he stated they don't take the trash for long distance moves, even one of the workers agreed the trash is normally taken. I expected the agreed-upon services to be completed without unexpected price changes or having to clean up afterward. Overall, this was not the level of service I was expecting, and I would not recommend this company to anyone based on this experience.

Wish i could give zero stars

As a college student, I am incredibly disappointed with the level of service this company provided. Not only did they breach our contract of delivery by 14 DAYS and counting, but they also seem to find it perfectly acceptable to provide no information/update whatsoever on my already horrifically late items that I needed to start school 2 weeks ago. Calling them to absolutely no avail, receiving an empty phone line 8/10 times and even after answering, they are ridiculously rude, incoherent and entirely unprofessional even going so far as to hang up the phone on me. If you ever need your stuff moved DO NOT book this company.

I will never use this company again and strongly recommend you don’t either. It has been almost one year from our move and they have failed to respond to the damages claim I have submitted through the company they told me to send it to (CSI). Not only are there damages to our items, things disassembled that can no longer be reassembled but the movers ate my food while packing my cabinets. I am supposed to trust them to pack an entire household but one person could not even resist my child’s lollipops, this is appalling for a professional in this line of business. Not only are they not responding to CSI for our claim but they have failed to answer my calls, call me back or text me back since I said I was putting in the claim. Additionally, I had two boxes of items that belonged to someone else that I called about at least 3 times, provided tag numbers for and shockingly no one ever called back to get me the packing slip to get those items to the rightful owner.
