I bought an ego mower and string trimmer several years ago. Both stopped working this year. I got them both replaced under warranty. It took 3 months to get the lawn mower and one month later it developed the same problem (blade stops when in grass, even short grass). Don't buy EGO products, their quality has gone down yet their price has gone up. Terrible products.

I hate this lawn mower. It cuts so uneven. Misses grass all together. I called The Ego customer service to ask for help and they told me I might need to upgrade my blade, mind you this was a brand new lawnmower, so we decided to upgrade it to a mulching blade still have problems with it. Call customer service they told me I should make sure that I am not lifting up on the lawnmower as I cut it that I should make sure my knuckles are pointing down, not up. I brought it in to have it looked at under warranty and the guy said there's nothing they could do, these lawnmowers really are made to cut grass every other day, In other words don't let it get long at all. I am extremely unhappy as we spent over $500 for this lawnmower and to me it is a huge disappointment.

I bought an EGO self propelled mower at $599 and after a year it broke. First call to EGO they stated a new mower would be shipped to me then three hours later I received a phone call from EGO stating to take it to Lowe's and that they would replace the mower. Took it to Lowe's only to be told that EGO lies to all there customers and Lowe's sent it out for repair and the EGO certified repair company only comes once every two weeks. Now after a month of waiting I tried to contact the repair company only to be told someone would call me back and no one has contacted me so I contacted EGO customer service again and they told me that I would be contacted within five days. So here I sit in the middle of summer and over a month with no mower. Although I like the products there warranty is the worst. DO NOT buy. They only replace the units if it was purchased less than 30 days. Update: Got my mower back after 30 days only to have to pay $20.00 to get it back because the repair cost exceeded the authorized amount that EGO approved.

a 2 year old lawnmower with a rear end that is shot. I called to get it fixed, the ONLY AUTHORIZED repair place in ALL of NE FL and SE GA is ACE Hardware in Yulee, FL. I was told 3-4 weeks turnaround time. The rain this season in the SE is incredible. I am mowing every 3-4 days and have the mower set at "7" the highest setting and it takes at least half of the blade of grass off (that's the growth rate) of the grass. So how do I let my lawn go for 3-4 weeks w/o mowing it? (HOA will be amused) so I am left to PAY FOR A LAWN SERVICE TO MOW FOR ME SO I CAN GET FREE WARRANTY WORK. What's the sense of having a warranty in the first place? 500.00 for a mower that is dead and another 160.00 plus for 4 weeks to a lawn service. to get it repaired. NEVER ANYTHING AGAIN WITH EGO OR LOWES

Do NOT buy an EGO lawnmower. Have had intermittent battery issues for a year. Did everything the manual said to resolve the problem. This week, the battery finally died, even though their dealer said he thought it was OK last week. Called customer service today. "Sorry. You're 3 months past the warranty period. You'll have to buy a replacement battery." No I wont. I wont buy anything with the EGO brand.

Thursday Sept, 5th, Called Ego support because my self propelled mower would only run at the slowest speed. Support told me to take it to ACE Hardware about 40 minutes from my house. Friday Sept, 6th. Called the Ace Hardware before I took the mower across town. They said they did not work on them. Called support back. Support said to take it to Georgetown, about 1 hour from my house. I said that was not acceptable and I would like to talk to a supervisor. Had to wait for a call back. Received the call back and supervisor said to take it to the Ace Hardware. I told them that I had called and they did not work on EGOS. Supervisor said, let me make a call. Supervisor called back and said that he talked to the owner of the ACE and for me to take the mower to them, they would work on it. Sunday Sept, 8th, Drove across town in the rain to take the mower to ACE. 45 minutes later, walked into ACE only to be told they were not trained to work on the mower and would not be until the end of Oct. Monday Sept, 9th. Called support back and ask to talk to the same supervisor I spoke with before. They said he will call me between 24 and 48 hours. Wednesday Sept. 11th. Still have not heard from the supervisor. What good is the mower if you don’t have support when you need it. I will advise all my friends to rethink if they are considering an Ego mower.

wish I had known about this site before purchasing my EGO mower. The mower I purchased was dead out of the box and EGO support assured me it would be 10 days before they shipped a new one out (I was leaving on a trip so it would be faster than getting back to the store or repair center). Ten days turned into a month which has now turned into three months. Each time I call EGO tells me that the product will be in "next month" and each time that turns out to be a lie. I will not purchase anything EGO again.
