NO VETERANS DISCOUNT ON PING CLUBS. PAID OVER $500.00 FOR A BRAND NEW PING G425 DRIVER (OVERPRICED I MIGHT ADD) THEN WHEN I GET TO PAY I'M INFORMED PING DOESNT GIVE A 10% DISCOUNT ON THEIR CLUBS. WHAT? I LIKE DICK'S B/C OF CONVENIENCE & TRADE IN'S. BUT LET'S BE HONEST VERY OVER PRICED ON ITEMS. SERVICE WAS GREAT. CLUB PREFORMS GREAT.

“You will not be charged until your order ships.”
IMMEDIATELY attempted to cancel the order, upon discovering an $85 shipping charge, when Father’s Day special stated free shipping. Only after hours of phone calls and online chats with customer service, did they attempt to cancel the order, at which time it was too late. The order had NOT been processed nor shipped, but they stated it could not be canceled. There was a pending charge on my card.
6/15/2021 received an email with the following:
If you would like to return the item, you can create a return label using the following link or return your item(s) to a local store for credit.
We do offer free returns, so once this order is received, please contact us at the number below for a prepaid return label.

This policy states that I am NOT eligible to return via a return label, but must return to the store, and I am out the $85 for shipping. Thus, what their representative stated by email was NOT what they were willing to honor.
My offer that I made to them: IF they will refund the $85 shipping charges, I will not return the merchandise. This way they retain the profit from the goods sold.
Should they insist on NOT honoring what they originally stated (free shipping), I will return the item via FedEx, at their expense, for a full refund. This way they will have lost the profit from the sale of the item, as well as being out the shipping costs.
Dick’s has rejected my offer, as well as (so far) refused to alloy me to ship the item.

DICK'S SUCKS
I ordered two nike fury headbands but instead received two cheap $6 nike headbands with the suggested retail price peeled off. I'm shocked that DICK'S would try to rip me off like that. I also purchased two nike t-shirts, but I received two cheaper shirts with DICK'S' own sticker placed over the original nike tag. I strongly urge everyone to do business elsewhere. Dick's clearly does not care about their customers and will take advantage of them in any way possible.

Selling used items as new
Dick's Sporting Goods online shipped me used/open/broken items sold as new. I purchased a Spypoint trail camera and booster antenna. The boxes on both items were open and one even ripped open. It was clear the items were used and not even neatly placed back in the boxes. The coaxial pin on the booster antenna was also broken and missing. I didn't even remove the items from the boxes to test them as it was clear they were used (and one broken) and I didn't purchase or want used items that may be defective (and one is clearly broken). I just checked Facebook and there are numerous reviews of people receiving used items sold as new from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Something for everyone
They have something for everyone, and staff are always helpful. On a side note, I love the new Mother's Day Commercials♡

It Doesn't Get Much Worse Than This
When I pulled up to the Dick's parking lot, it was empty except for one car. I thought the store was closed, but it wasn't. I should have known there was a good reason why there was only one customer in the store while the Academy Sports a mile away was packed with people. I went in the store intent on buying an elliptical that day. Apathy and general uncertainty about the aspects of the machine and when it would be delivered and set up, shook my confidence so much that it took three more weeks and multiple visits before someone in the store actually showed some interest in his job. I bought the elliptical and the "coach" set up the delivery and set up for the following week. That was 5 weeks and 3 scheduled and cancelled deliveries by the most half-a*sed delivery operation, Select Express, I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. The Keystone Cops are more organized than this company. The last scheduled delivery was supposed to be today, but they cancelled again and wanted to reschedule in two more weeks. Meanwhile, I have used up 3 vacation days worth $280 per day, and it is going on 2 months in which Dick's has my $2000 for the machine sitting in there store and I have nothing. Two months of additional warranty that I paid for have been used up while the machine still sits at the local Dick's store, and I will be making my second payment with interest on the machine. After speaking with the employee who sold me the machine and the manager about the problem, both of whom were very nice and sympathetic, but powerless, it was clear to me that this was at least one of the reasons there was so little enthusiasm in the store and virtually no one shopping there They've been down this road before and they are tired of dealing with dissatisfied customers.

Terrible customer service
Made in-store purchase, but realized they didn't give me the sale price on 2 items after I was already home (more than an hour's drive away). Called the store... they won't help me unless I drive back to the store... Called national customer service... they won't help me unless it was an online order. Really!?!? I have all the data and codes on the receipt they need in order to fix the issue without needing to be there in person.
Hope they enjoy the whopping $12.99 windfall they got from me (at least for now...If I happen to be in town within the 60-day return window, I'll just get a full refund on both items). BTW - These items have been on sale for MONTHS... not sure why they never changed the price in their registers except they're trying to overcharge consumers and hope we won't catch it!

Lousy customer service
I was excited to buy their own line of workout clothes because the prices and quality are amazing! While shopping there a sign was put right out in front of workout shorts buy one get one half off. Great! I was thrilled and had about $170.00 worth of clothing. When up at the register, the prices did not reflect any discount! The store was busy and I knew I would get a hassle. The sales person was kind and called a manager over. This manager was clearly not customer service oriented. She stated it was only the "capris" that were on sale, whatever that meant. Her statement did not match the sign. I told her to check her signage. She didn't apologize or act like she cared, but went and checked the signs. I'm still not sure what happened, she wasn't thrilled about giving me the discount. I got 25% off of 4 items. I was confused but better I got something off as opposed to nothing. I like their quality of clothing but will be hesitant to go back due to the lace of empathy from the manager. I must mention, the salesperson helping me was very kind and apologetic!
