My wife was injured riding an e-bike and had to make a trip to the ER while we were on vacation in Savannah, GA. After she was treated and released I went to a CVS near the historic district to get a prescription filled. The pharmacist assistant said they were closing in five minutes. I said I was glad I made it in time because we were leaving in the morning. The pharmacist interjects and says, "Sorry we are closing”. It was only 5:00 pm. The web site says the pharmacy is open until 6:00 pm. She refused to take a moment and fill the prescription. It would have taken a couple of minutes. I tried to explain this was kind of urgent yet she just blew me off. The assistant said he was sorry but they can have it ready tomorrow by noon. I asked if they had the medication in stock. He said yes. But the pharmacist is leaving. Worst attitude and customer service ever.

The delays were infuriating. I received a text telling me the prescription would be ready by 4 pm. When I arrived about 4:30, I was told they were down a pharmacist and it would be ready the next morning. When I arrived the next morning, I was told it should be ready about noon. When I came back at noon, I was told the prescription had been expedited and would be ready after the lunch break. When I returned at 2:30, I was told it would not be ready until after 5 pm. I have felt I have been given the run around. Every time I came in, I was led to believe it would be available within 2 hours.

The moment I walked up to the counter, they greeted me with smiles and engaged me in a pleasant conversation. In an over the counter or retail setting, these women have the magic that comes from face-to-face charm, deep product knowledge, and speed. Professional and Attentive Assistance Tina and Marci took the time to speak with me, ask whether I needed anything else, and provide very professional assistance. Their warmth and attentiveness are exactly what customers need in a sales setting. Thank you ladies 5 stars.

More than $20 for a Passport photo! This in the digital era when taking picture no longer requires " processing". Photos are taken using a standard digital camera, processing takes less than 2 minutes, from taking pictures to downloading. CVS still holding to prices from 1970's when a Passport photo required cropping to fit 2x2 square, and a physical photograph was needed. $20 plus is ABSURD, never mind having to wait for someone other than the cashier on duty.

My husband purchased a covid test today and got home and realized it was an open package. He went to a different store and purchased another one because he needed to take it asap. He took the opened covid test back to the CVS that he purchased it from, with the receipt and tried to return it. The cashier immediately snapped at him, we don't take covid test returns. He told her, but it was open when I purchased it. I need to speak to a manager. So the manager comes over and the cashier says, we don't return covid test, right? And the manager said no we don't we turned to walk away. My husband immediately interrupted him and said, excuse me you didn't even ask me why I'm returning it. It was opened and I needed to take a test. Long story short he didn't get to make a return. And I'm disappointed in the Ledgewood CVS because that's the store I use all the time.

The pharmacies have installed "must use" touch screen to identify yourself, verify birthdate, ID the Rx. >> Their desire to use (and probably sell) your data is more important than their respect for your privacy rights under HPPA. << They try real hard to make you register your Rx pickup into the "points/rewards" system, right after you ID yourself. I touched the screen to decline and it worked. Later, it asked me AGAIN for my phone number - it wanted to export my medication into its points/rewards system. I stopped and waited for the clerk. I said 'I don't want this purchase in your point/reward system' and '"HERE IS NO SKIP" button to get around it, at this part of the process. Clerk said "you can just tell me." I said "You told me "follow the prompts", and it was programmed without a "SKIP" button." its pretty obvious they intentionally left the 'skip' button out of the final part of the pickup process.

We will be away on vacation for several weeks an I take an anticoagulant (eliquis) twice a day. I am told that it is dangerous — increase my risk of stroke — to stop abruptly. I went to the Alamo CVS and was told that there was a “hold” on my renewal and it would cost more than $1,000 to access prior to 3 months ! The Chief pharmacist understood my plight and suggested that she “clear” my insurance. She telephoned immediately and solved my problem. She was courteous, competent and a delight to represent me. I am grateful for her kindness.

After years of using them and being satisfied I will have to switch. They have an issue with their Ai phone line and my doctor tries numerous times to call in prescriptions which go through but younger staff insists they don't have it although I even receive texts that it is ready. Three times in one day I and my doctor were told the prescription was ready yet the younger staff simply states that the phone line says it is not. They hand me a printout of phone line orders and tell my doctor and myself to "try again." I take medication where I cannot miss a day so they are playing with my life with this nonsense now.
