Good employees, poor, poor corporate administration
Absolutely the worst. Oh, wait. It keeps getting worse...so...goodbye CVS. Today's insult Last week: I dared to use their website to order a refill on a must have anti-convulsant for my daughter . Our physician will not take refill requests. We are ordered that we must go through our pharmacy. CVS sat on the refill request for five days. I called and they admitted that they had not handled my online refill request (of which I had a screen shot of the confirmation page). The pharmacist (yes, not a tech the actual pharmacist) said (after I'd explained that I'd used the website, "did you call? You should have called." Oh...excuse me. It was my fault because I dared use the web? He stated, "it often has glitches. You should call." So, the fact that my daughter is now having seizures (she has a lot, no way to know if this is from lack of RX, but...) is because I dared to order the refills online. I guess I didn't get the email that told me NOT to use the website option for refills. This is such insanity. I have waited 28 minutes at their drive-through, only to be told that they can't find my RX, I leave, they they call me and say, "oh, we found it." My daughter has taken the same meds for years...every month...yet, they are often needing to hold the RX until they order the meds. This can be problematic when it happens over a holiday or weekend if we are running close to out since insurance doesn't allow too early of refills. Several months ago I went to pick up an RX that I'd ordered refilled three days previously. It wasn't ready. When I stated that the delay was really problematic, the tech stated, "I don't know what I can say, but you need to know we are over two days behind on all RXs." My list of concerns is far longer. But the day is short, so cutting to the chase,,, Here's the issue: By and large, my sense is that this pharmacy is staffed by good and reasonably competent people wanting to do good work. They are understaffed and working to meet corporate goals that don't mesh well with outstanding or even tolerable customer service. I have read about the pinches that corporate is putting on all the big box pharmacies and I am here to state that the customers are NOTICING AND moving their RXs. Later today I will move over $60K of RXs for my daughter/year to a local pharmacy. I am going to show my displeasure by leaving the circus that has become CVS.
