Ordering was easy and shipment prompt. Love the items I ordered: the Ouray UV Fingerless Sun Gloves UPF 50+, Vermilion UV Layered Mask UPF 50+ (this is awesome to use on sunny motorcycle rides, Explorer Hat UPF 50+). All are performing well and I recommend these items. Didn't have any interaction with customer service so don't have any feedback about that.

I have read the reviews regarding poor customer service at Coolibar. I am quite surprised. Two ladies in customer service went out of their way to make my experience wonderful. I failed to add expedited shipping after having difficulty with the site, so I had to order a second one to receive it before I left on a tropical vacation. One agent refunded the expedited shipping on the second order. The second agent was also very helpful regarding a refund for the cap that arrived late due to my error. I hope you will give the customer service department a chance to make things right when there is a problem with an order.

Beware of their return policy. I have been happy with Coolibar, but for the first time I had to return an item and they charged me $6.95 for the return. I'm sure they have it in writing somewhere, but it's not obvious when you're ordering. They have now lost a customer.

I seriously cannot believe all the negative reviews about Coolibar's customer service, as I had an EXCELLENT experience - both times I dealt with them! The first was when I placed a large order for Christmas, but forgot to enter the 40% coupon code. I called right away and was told I had to wait until the items were received and I knew I was going to keep them. Seems like a hassle - but it's actually a sound business practice considering how people scam by returning discounted products for a full-price refund. I received the items, loved everything, called, and a credit was immediately issued! The second experience was when a side visor broke on a hat. I emailed a picture, expecting them to respond within a week or so. I was so surprised when I received an email within 15 minutes with my new order number, stating a new hat was on its way! I was told I could keep, donate, or toss the original hat. The replacement hat arrived in about 4 days. My experience with the items is: they are as described, fit well, no quality issues, reasonably priced for the sun-protection category, and look great! For me, overall FANTASTIC customer service and great, quality products!

I order a short sleeve swim shirt. I never heard back from coolibar, I only got an email from PayPal. Pay pal gave ne a refund. The next day I got an email from Coolibar and they said that my email address was incorrect (it was not). I finally received the shirt and put in on for my water aerobics class. Immediately it started moving up. The "ripper" on the bottom was useless. I called Coolibar and they said it must have been too big. It was supposed to fit snuggly. I ordered the same size I always wear. The web site does not suggest to order a smaller size. They mentioned the strip at the bottom of the back of the shirt. I don't know that it was supposed to do. it did not stick to anything. I gave them a 2 because I got I refund minus shipping and tax.

I bought their Savannah Sun Blanket which was pretty pricey for a small lightweight blanket that is barley big enough to use as a shawl. It was soft and lightweight which was nice and kind of reminded me of a baby blanket. But the first time I washed it, it tore in my washing machine. Very delicate material! They should recommend hand wash only for this item. No returns or refunds from them - emailed them. I am giving them 2 stars though as they responded to my email very fast. So good customer service but I don't know about the quality VS price of their products. They offered me 15% off if I buy again. Unfortunately I will not be buying from them again. Way too expensive for a small piece of material - which now looks like an old rag after being ripped. I ended up buying one of those $10 microfiber super absorbent towels after on Amazon - twice the size and thick for sun protection. Much better quality too.

After buying a baby one-piece swim suit for my toddler. the material was so paper-thin that after only a several uses, she started getting sunburns, beneath the swim suit. The coolibar website boasts a lifetime warranty. So I called customer service... I only wish I had recorded the conversation. First the woman said that this can happen if the clothes are too tight, I told her the clothes weren't too tight, I bought it big so she could grow into it. Then she said that sunburns can also result if they are too loose as well. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Then she continued to argue, well you have had it for a year now. I told her that we only have 2 months of summer, I barely had any uses out of it. I was a good customer until then. How can a company who boasts sun protective clothing, result in a sun burn, then blow the customer off over the phone. All clothes are sun protective. But coolibar is the least.

Buyer beware. Please read entire website before buying as if you don't like a product you will get dinged on return shipping and initial shipping charges not refunded. The agent that answered my questions regarding this issue was very flippant after I said I won't be shopping with you again. She said all I had to do was ask for a credit but after my comment about not buying from this company again, I would not receive the credit. Really bad customer service. Additionally, the products don't look like the pictures portray them to look.
