Ordered a kids bike from City Grounds for my son's birthday. The order said the bike was in stock and should ship in about 3 days. My credit card was charged immediately. I get an email 8 days later that the bike has shipped. However, I also get an email stating my order was canceled because the bike is out of stock and disregard the order shipment email. Zero customer service to try to correct their mistake. They at least could have suggested an alternative bike or give a discount off a future order. I'm now scrambling to find the bike in time for my son's birthday.

This is the short version. Ordered a bike several weeks ago. Should’ve been delivered to a local mechanic in the state where I reside for assembly and delivery to my home. Instead the mechanic rejected the delivery and the bike was shipped back to California. It took three emails and two thirty minute phone calls (waiting) before I spoke with a representative. Only options I received were to have the bike resent to the mechanic and wait another several weeks for assembly and delivery, receive a refund, or put the bike together myself. The young lady that I spoke with couldn’t care less if I got the bike or not. This was evident if both her tone and eagerness to get me off the call. Requested a phone call from the supervisor Eric. Still haven’t received any correspondence. I guess I will will need to get in contact with Paul Ku (owner).

I received a lot of pieces to a bike (technically I should have at least had the back wheel assembled with chain attached, but I did not get that). Additionally I DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE A MANUAL? Pedals do not fit in the bike. I don’t even know if I have all of pieces that I should need. I went to YouTube for assistance, and all of the other bikes shipped only required the front tire to be assembled. And customer service has only responded to my emails after a 7 day period.

Tech recommended and sent the wrong part. A bottom bracket bearing set and spacer, for my 2016 SE. I was elbow deep in grease so i made do and used the bearings, but had to reuse my old spacer. I don't know your return policy, that's why the 3 stars. One would hope you'd allow the return and pay return shipping.

Great experience. I live in New Jersey and my bike came on time. Everyone I spoke to at City Grounds, was professional and very helpful.
