We booked our trip Naples to Pompeii at home and had to check the day before if everything was ok just as well we checked they got us down for the wrong day also they were late picking us up from hotel.On the way back our guide forgot to let us off at our hotel so not impressed with the company but the trip was really good

On 9th May, my family and I went for a Scotland highlands tour organised by City Discovery. The tour bus journey last for almost 12 hours. Our coach captain, Brian is a very knowledgeable guide who share so many things throughout the trip non-stop and eventually put me to sleep with his monotonous tone. Knowing that the trip last long and not sure if we can get our food, we brought our sandwiches for lunch but we're hungry around 5.30pm in the evening. 10 mins before 6pm, we were dropped off at one of the rest stop and were only given 20 mins to go to the restroom and only consume non-hot food. The queue at the restroom was so long that it took us 10mins. After which, we quickly ran around to look for food since we were extremely famished. After a quick 5 mins, we finally discovered fish n chips but this was classified as hot food which cannot be brought up to the bus for consumption. We begged for 5 mins to eat. As the given time was too short, we have to throw the whole packet of fries away. On the bus, we were mocked for having a nice meal. Can someone tell me what is a nice meal with fries thrown away and gobbled the entire fish burger within 5 mins. The experience is horrible that I will never tour with City Discovery anymore.

We had very good experiences with all of the trips we booked with City Discovery in Barcelona, very knowledgeable and friendly tour guides who explained things well and made it obvious where to meet. The only thing that we weren't aware of was that the Park Guell trip would be bilingual, so there was not as much time to go into detail, but we still had a very memorable time.

I would highly recommend the tour if you are looking for discounted high end designer stores, it’s also a great way to visit two countries for a fraction of the price. However I do have some recommendations. It was not easy to locate the meeting point from the print off voucher. As a tourist, new to Italy it wasn’t obvious that there was more than one road named the same thing. Putting Milan City Center would have be easier to find. That is where I eventually ended up and inquired about where the bus was. The staff were very helpful and directed me to the bus which was taking off but he kindly came back for us. The coach ride was comfortable and very quick considering and we had ample time to shop (5 hours). However the ‘free Wi-Fi’ offered on board didn’t work on the way there or back. It would also be an idea to let shoppers know that it is Francs used in Switzerland so to get more for their money ideally change some Euros into Francs as all change is given in Francs.

We were met promptly and left very soon from Hard Rock Barcelona. Xavier was our guide and he proved to be very entertaining in a subtle way. There were 2 groups, 1 for lunch and 1 for tapas but all were wine tasting and both groups were well managed. Our visit to Monserrat was spectacular and the ride on the cogwheel train amazing!! We came down in a bus but be warned it is a steep and twisty ride! The winery was a beautiful old castle and not busy at all. We tasted 4 lovely wines along with more than ample beautifully presented tapas. All in all a great day.

A great day trip in a very comfortable minibus. Only 14 on the trip, so was a good size, making it more personal. Guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Both locations were beautiful and historic. Well worth a visit.
