Review: When we arrived in Rome we spent most of our first afternoon attempting to FIND the office for City Discovery to redeem our online receipts for the actual pass. While the other hop on/hop off buses are practically on every corner and there are multiple vendors selling tickets at the stops, this company requires you to bring your purchase receipt to their office to redeem. They are EXTREMELY difficult to find. We had to take a city bus to the main city bus terminal (that was an experience as we had just arrived in Rome!) Then find one of the few yellow buses to get on and be taken to the stop over near the Vatican. Received very vague instructions to walk for about a mile from their designated bus stop down into the Vatican area and just "look for the office it's over there" from the driver. NOT AN EASY TASK! Their bus routes are very limited compared to the other hop on/off buses running in Rome which is probably why they give you a city bus pass with this package. We are all very seasoned travelers so while we managed, it really wasn't easy.

Very upset. Best Price guarantee is not true. We paied more for the 24 hour hop on bus, than the same bus costs for 48 hours in Valencia! Plus, it was the less travelled bus, since it did not offer preferable times to hop on and off. Times were less frequent and ended earlier and started later each day. Their Claim is simply not true.

I was disappointed with the tours I booked on City Discovery in Singapore. Pick ups were not on time. Once picked up - average wait was at least 40 minutes before actual tour started. I booked a total of 5 tours. In 4 of the tours, we felt rushed the entire time. The worst guide was on the City tour with Botanical gardens. It was basically being dropped and you're on your own at each location with very little time - 7-12 minutes. With the Universal City tickets - I booked and paid for tickets with hotel pick-up and there was none. We had to get there and back ourselves.

On 9th May, my family and I went for a Scotland highlands tour organised by City Discovery. The tour bus journey last for almost 12 hours. Our coach captain, Brian is a very knowledgeable guide who share so many things throughout the trip non-stop and eventually put me to sleep with his monotonous tone. Knowing that the trip last long and not sure if we can get our food, we brought our sandwiches for lunch but we're hungry around 5.30pm in the evening. 10 mins before 6pm, we were dropped off at one of the rest stop and were only given 20 mins to go to the restroom and only consume non-hot food. The queue at the restroom was so long that it took us 10mins. After which, we quickly ran around to look for food since we were extremely famished. After a quick 5 mins, we finally discovered fish n chips but this was classified as hot food which cannot be brought up to the bus for consumption. We begged for 5 mins to eat. As the given time was too short, we have to throw the whole packet of fries away. On the bus, we were mocked for having a nice meal. Can someone tell me what is a nice meal with fries thrown away and gobbled the entire fish burger within 5 mins. The experience is horrible that I will never tour with City Discovery anymore.

This was supposed to be a pleasant trip for my mums 80th birthday. Jumping the queue was great BUT it very nearly didnt happen!. We found the place where we were supposed to find the courier, (with a little difficulty map instructions were not clear). I began to think this was a scam. No courier was by the building 235. No placard being held up. No city discovery jacket being worn. Tried phoning number on sheet of paper, no answer. Near to tears in sheer desperation, not being able to speak much French. I started speaking to anyone around me, showing them my papers. On the corner of the street, with no jacket, no placard (facing a wall on the floor) We found the courier. After that the trip was very enjoyable. Clearer instructions need to be given and your employees need to follow what is stated on your instruction.

I have booked a one day tour from Zurich to Mt. Pilatus in July. The views from Mt. Pilatus were great and the weather was also very nice, however three things ruined the atmosphere of the tour right in the beginning. First, after standing for 15 min in a queue in +28C heat to validate the voucher, we got on the bus at 9.15am. We were pleading with the driver to turn the air conditioning on, but it was only done at 9.35am when we left Zurich. Secondly it took almost 2.5 hours to get to Lucerne as we were dropping off one couple for another adventure (the return trip was just 1 hour). Because of it, we had limited time in Lucerne, only 35 min. There was also no toilet break on the way down. To all our questions about the toilet stop, our guide Evelyn would reply: When we get to Lucerne, or can you wait? We had so many children on the bus and children cannot wait. We were finally dropped off at the shop which had a few toilets upstairs and a long queue. There was hardly any time to buy lunch, but not to eat it. Many families ended up eating on a bus to Kriens. A tip. Use the toilet just before boarding the bus and take your lunch with you. Also Viator has the same tour but longer free time in Lucerne. P.S.
